Used rigs

I bend the tip back and forth till it breaks, put it into the barrel and put the plunger back and throw it out the window.. or maybe down a sewer grate if I'm walking/ riding a bike. It really dosen't matter, I don't have aids or hep so theres no risk to anyone.. just gross if a poor kid picked it up.

I try to only use a needle 2-3 times but often end up using the same 2 or 43 rigs for a week or more.. yes it is terrible when you hear it pop through your skin and through the vein.. I really like to have a full pack of fresh rigs much easier to hit if you have problems hitting a vein regardless.
 
GlassAss, please don't throw them out the window into the street, that's just awful. At least put them in a trash can, kids will play with anything, no matter how bad the area.
 
1 liter plastic soda bottle. Put caps on needles, drop needles into bottle, screw bottle lid back on. Throw bottle away.

Holy SHIT. It hurts me to think about how dull those needles get and how hard you're having to shove the blunt end of it into you vein after like 5 or 6 uses... after 50 though... how is it even possible?

This is by far one of the most dangerous and avoidable things I've ever heard of somebody doing to get high. And as a daily reader of BL, that is saying a lot.

Why don't you just order needles online? Get the kind where only have to buy replacements tips.
 
Always put your needles in a bottle or even a can when you throw them away , also twist the spikes off and put them in the barrel
 
i just throw them, capped, in the bushes for the gardners to get them...
 
I've read about junkies using needles that have broken off because thats all they had...insanity.

I think anyone who injects has been in the situation once or twice where you had to reuse a needle a few times because you were out of money/waiting on more to arrive, or something. this happened to me once, where i was stuck with only 2 tips for about 2 weeks. i make it a habit to only IV once a day, so on average i used each tip about 6-7 times. it felt awful compared to fresh pins and now i make sure i don't run out. IVing in the first place is bad enough... try to not ruin your body even more by reusing something 50 times : /

3 weeks?? Are you serious? I can't even fathom how you get through a few days with one rig much 3 weeks! Seriously the internet is your friend in obtaining new sharps....use it. Believe me it's alot better than having completely shot out veins, infections, etc.
 
in the casinos where i live they have used rig depositories....a locked box on the wall...i know people who break into it to get "new" points....fucking sick
 
i am a diabetic.. instead of using sharps containers for my needles.. i break off the needle and drop them in a sealed coffee can.. although i have used an insulin pump for many years now.. i still have syringes for backup.. so the can doesn't fill up very rapidly
 
I have a friend who bragged about how much money he was saving, because he had been using the same rig for a month (and he shoots several times a day). And this kid is by no means poor that he needs to reuse a rig that much. He lives with his parents and they give him a fuckton of money.

When I told him how stupid it was to reuse a rig for that long, all the dangers, and that a 10 pack of syringes is $3 from any local pharmacy, he said "OK, if you buy me a pack of syringes I'll start using new ones." 8) (He could have easily afforded 10,000 syringes, he's just a stubborn ass.)

At that point, it was hard not to punch him in the face and snap his needle in half just based on how stupid he was acting.

Some of us cant order online, we dont have credit cards. And then I live in oklahoma where you cannot get needles without a prescription anywhere in the state. It's pretty stupid, because I only knew one person who had diabetes and had needles, so I have saved the two needles I got from him for about 6 months. I havent used them in 6 months but after I used it I filled the syringe with alcohol to try and sterilize it and washed the needle with alcohol then put it in a safe box and i'm going to use it again to shoot a dilaudid just because I CANT GET ANY OTHER NEEDLES SO I HAVE TO USE A 6 MONTH OLD SYRINGE. (Dont HAVE to, but if I wanna IV it is my only option)
