Upper vs. Downer People

If your referring to Upper addicts Vs Downer addicts as
Far as personality.
Downer people hands down. Nothing worse then the asshole coke/meth head fucking
Jerk. Whereas the chilled downer guy who just likes sweatpants a couch and some good food.
 
It really depends what circles you run with.

There are tweakers who hate weed, there are down-heads who love speedballs, there are psychedelic users who are all holier-than-thou and only ever do natural drugs.
It is a falsehood to say "everyone likes ___". I know a lot of people who don't like dissociatives, stimulants (tweaked out), hallucinogens (too mindfucky/panicky), marijuana (smelly and makes people anxious/paranoid), alcohol (sickness, nasty to drink), opioids (they get sick/dizzy) and/or benzos (they get forgetful). You can find a reason to not like a drug, if you want to.

There's a good joke - how do you tell if a meth-head or smack-head stole your shit? the meth-head will help you look for it after he pawns it.
 
I prefer downers on the whole although an upper is def the way forward if you got a banging party/rave to got too! My only beef with downers is that you can keep doing them on the regs which can make it very nasty too quit when you're in way too deep lol. At least uppers make you feel pretty shite afterwards so you're less likely to carry on for weeks, months or years haha! With all drugs and drinks though moderation is the key! :)

yeh i agree with this if eaten the high isn't dissimilar to oxy imo...without the itches :)

i also agree with tricomb, body chemistry is unique to the individual...unless cloned...wont be long, they are probably out there now
 
I always preferred uppers and downers i.e. speed and weed/benzos. Think adhd is something alot of stim users probably have in common. Love speed with a nice indica personally. And mdma and weed too. :D

Well, now that that's done, I'll chime in. I never found that most people prefer opiates and benzo's....IME, a lot of the more experimental, drug using types steer towards MDMA and Cocaine when it comes to harder drugs, and even then they are still for the most part just pot smokers who like to roll on the weekend. A lot of people get super sick off of opiates there first time or just feel tired and not understand what the 'hype' is about.

However, if you're talking about drug addicts, I feel that most end up gravitating towards uppers or downers, though they will often dabble with the others (especially tweakers for the obvious reasons). However, if you just live the lifestyle long enough, especially if your an IV user I have observed, you'll likely develop a taste for both the ups and the downs.

I'm an opiate and alcohol guy to the core, but I won't say no to good coke if it's there. Not a fan of meth; only did it once orally and the high was great but it lasted too long and was overpowering compared to coke. Prescription stimulants are no bueno for me either.

I went through a phase in high school where I smoked a lot of weed and ate a lot of shrooms and X, but that was purely out of ignorance. I thought they were the "safe" drugs so I did them as often as I could. Now I know that all drugs are bad and it's about moderation, so I do what I like and just pick my spots.
 
well my doc was opiates which are technically a downer but they stimulated me...opiates always gave me energy and made me social and outgoing..

i was an avid meth freak going back my late teens early 20's but have gravitated towards opioids and benzos factoring in i'm a chronic pain patient.

but i still loves me some mdma when the good stuff is around, and certainly won't turn my nose down to an opioid/meth combo or pseudo speed ball of morphine and coke when i do get coke which is a complete rarity.

meth and coke are too overpriced for me to use all that often which is another contributing factor of why i gravitate more to downers. love me a morphine and valium combo which i'm on right now.
 
I am solely a downer girl. Back in the day I was a tweaker and only used h to mellow out the over tweakishness. The Meth just wore me out physically and mentally so I gravitated towards only using h. The less I did Meth the harder and longer the comedowns were to the point the high wasn't worth the recovery.
 
uppers pronounce circuits of my ego in a superior way,
downers denounce circuits of my ego in comforting way,
i prefer dissociatives

i tend to stay away from "uppers" so i sway downwards
 
I prefer uppers as they tend to be more exciting. The drugs I like the most are ones which work well with music and bring about involving conversations. However these drugs tend to disrupt your routine and can interfere a lot with work/studying.

Downers are OK and as with opiates can be quite euphoric. But compared to the sense of excitement you get on say, amphetamines they can sometimes seem boring.

I always felt the same way. Opiates provided energy to get everything done.

Tried throwing cocaine into the mix and I would just collapse from exhaustion. I don't know why
 
I enjoy both. Dissociatives are probably #1 at the moment
IMO uppers are only for special occasions - big parties, festivals etc. though
Also uppers are more stereotypically youngsters drugs, because you rarely see old people popping an E for pain and they're never that energetic anyway.
 
I've seen alot of people "outgrow" uppers (including myself) and switch over to downers and/or psychedelics. Don't know if it's that common, but among my friends there are few who still prefer uppers. I'm not saying I don't like uppers anymore, but I much prefer dissociatives, psychedelics and downers now. I used to be a 24/7 tweaker who absolutely loved my uppers above all other drugs.
 
Is it ok to like both equally? Just depends on the situation for me personally. I've always enjoyed rather wide variety of substances =D
 
at least, for me, it all comes down to anxiety. uppers produce anxiety and i am aready WAAY anxious as it is, in fact, it might be a bullshit cop out but i think i use downers in order to self medicate my anxiety. that being said, i do love my ecstasy too.
