Undercover Cops in Clubs?

Deathtullrises
Well, I guess your case is kinda unusual. Such people are seldom to meet nowadays, 'cause in majority we got people who are so tuff on the surface and so weak inside. For sure not everyone ever busted is "snitch", still I wouldn't deal any illegal stuff (drugs, predominately) with such person if he was accused of possession or selling and especially if he got out free without clear reason.

Maybe the ones here in perth are just crap.

Obviouly i have notice these guys because they come up and ask with really bad slang trying to look cool, then i just start to notice things about em.

this thread rocks :D

I had it again the other week, this time a bit more blatant.

Out with a friend after I played a gig with my band. At another pub/club drinking beers and talking amongst ourselves.

As my friend and I go to leave a dude I've never seen before catches my eye and waves, so I wave back. Being a relatively small town, I play gigs all the time and the fact my band is in the paper a lot this isn't unusual, but what happened next is.

He comes up to us just as we're about to go out the door and says "those cops that were here before searched your mate in the toilets for E"

"Huh? What mate?"

"You know (describes some dude I can't think of)"

"Uh, no"

"Yeah, he's your mate and he got searched for E"

I Decribe the dude back to him in a bit more detail, remembering someone I knew was in the toilet discussing what sounded like drugs when I was in there.

"Yeah, that's the one. Hey, you take E don't you?"

"Like once every 6 months perhaps"

"Nah, you sell it at the (another pub in the area)"

I start to get annoyed "No mate, I don't sell drugs"

"Yeah you do, you're always there selling E"

I look him straight in the eye without blinking and say "Look mate, I'm telling you I DON'T SELL E, ALRIGHT??"

"Yeah you do"

I'm starting to feel like punching the dude out. I've never hit anyone in my life lol.

"Look into my eyes alright, I'm fucking telling you I don't and never have sold E. Get it?"

"Umm, yeah."

Then he just walks away.

Fucking strange.

Dude they are watching you !!!! don't mean to be rude but it sounds funny how this happened again just ignore the fucking guy ans walk away easy as that it's not like he's gonna do something and if he does still does not matter as long as you don't have any shit with you, your all good !!

i know some of my mates when they sell pills to randoms at clubs they make the person take one infront of them, if the person refuses they just walk off

if you ask a cop if they're an undercover cop, they have to answer you with a "yes" otherwise it's entrapment.

informants on the other hand...

I don't think they're watching me, and if they are it's a total laugh cause I've never sold E in my life lol. The dude he was talking about is a musician like myself so this other dude must've drawn some connection there.

It's pretty funny in hindsight, but really annoying at same the time. I don't want people to draw that association, especially cause I teach kids how to play guitar/bass and haven't taken a pill since April.

It's already been said, but it bears repeating:

NO, THEY DON'T.

i'm surprised that "entrapment cops having to identify themselves" myth is still around. i've had one dealer ask me that once, funny shit. anyways, i was once on a mission for e. i asked people who were obviously rolling, and a common response was "oh no" with their hands up in the air as if i was some narc. could totally understand though. i've had people come up to me when i was in the same state... i never mess w/ those people though cuz the first thing that comes to mind is that they're narcs. appearances are deceiving. my friend told me a trippy story about a Coachella/Narc incident. these two hot girls showin skin were asking for e. my friend's friend had extra and hooked them up. out of nowhere, narcs quickly arrested him. appearances are deceiving, although I'll buy shit at events, i will never sell or hook strangers up.

last event i attended, i started chatting it up w/ some tall dude w/ a fade. at first he was cool, but then he started asking me if i was "on drugs" and shit which made me a bit paranoid. needless to say, i bounced quickly

i was sittin in a club one night and a guy about 35ish came up and sat next to me

guy: hey mate hows it goin?
me: yeah good thanx
guy: so can ya help me out with ne pills mate?
me: nah i doubt it mate?
guy: oh if ya could it would be really good, ive already had two wouldn't mind a 3rd. (guy looked straight as a pole)
me: mate i dont really know ya why would i help ya out?
guy: oh mate i just really need another pill
me: ill see (sent a msg to my mates near by tellin em i thought the guy was dodgey) yeah mate i just sent a msg ill let ya know
guy: that'd be good its nearly the end of the night so if ya could hurry that'd be great

the guy returns about 30 seconds late

guy: so howd did ya go?
me: nah mate no luck sorry
guy: storms of in a big hurry
:p

this was the only time ive had someone dodgey come up to me. was a bit of an eye opener though i know to be more careful when people come up to me. I scope them out alot more even though ive hardly ever got spares. Peace out

that sounds more like a guy who just really wants to get high.. and its not the biggest deal to ask someone you dont know for pills i dont think. if the guy you asks deals or knows somebody theyre not usually that hesitant to point you in the right direction. because i personally dont think a dealer really cares who he sells to

the whole undercover shit is scary...its easy to tell tho..just look
cheers

I reckon just string them along a bit and say "ooh, don't know, nah not really" etc. and gauge their reaction. Keep em hanging for a while and have a chat with them about something else. Chances are if they're legit they'll open up and tell you about their night, what's been happening etc. cause that's the other thing on their mind. If they're dodgy they'll clam up cause that's the only other thing they have on their mind and they don't want to reveal it, obviously.

Then again, just don't hook up anyone you don't know and trust.

ya there are a lot of them
pretty easy to tell if they are narcs or ravers

i often get asked if i have any e for sell
i'd be like "no, your a narc" and they would be like all pissed off
and wants to beat me up but they can't ;)

hahahahahh =D

he he .. this reminds me of an encounter with an u/c cop at fantasy fest in key west one time .. we stepped out into some back street and proceeded to light up a bowl .. then this guy taps me on the shoulder from behind - he looked like a halloween partier .. face paint, clothes, etc .. i saw him the moment b4 standing there off to the side .. i thought he was taking a leak .. lol
well he says "what you got there?" .. i passed him the pipe 'cause i thought he wanted a hit .. he pulls out his badge instead :(
overall he was actually nice .. asked all kinds of Qs, then checked our id's & called us in .. we were all clean .. he tossed the pipe & weed into some bushes and let us go on our way .. :)
let me tell you .. we were high as a kite .. just got busted .. nothing happened .. we felt invincible !

Don't think I have ever come across an undercover. Well one time we were out of coke and didn't want to go home so we asked someone if he knew a delivery guy. He pulled out a badge and laughed. We shat oursleves but he was just off duty and thought it was funny. He was young and probably into it himself. Anyway wouldn't do it again in a place like that. I do ask for pills in clubs if I couldn't get them before. I used to point people in directions or help them get stuff off people I know in the past but from stuff I have heard I stopped doing it. My philosphy was I would want people to help if I was after something but it's just not worth it anymore. The law is crap but it's still there. Don't think there's as many undercovers in the UK as there sounds in the places talked about here but it's still a risk.

That sounds almost IDENTICAL to the way some friends of mine were approached once in a club... we're in Australia too...

They were in one of those 'recovery' clubs that stays open til mid-morning and a "couple" asked them if they had any pills, or if they knew where they could get any... and after my friends said no on a number of occasions to their answers I think they started to get a bit cheesed off with the questioning... and the "couple" then just walked off...

The way you described their age, the way they announced themselves as being engaged, etc etc... is like an exact copy of what happened to them...

Also, one time a few years ago, I was on my way to a party and I stopped at the convenience store to get some candy and cigarettes, there was this older (40s ish) couple there asking the clerk how to get to the location I was on my way to. I didn't think anything of it, until I saw them later at the rave asking some people I knew if they could "score some E" I definitely thought it was suspect, but then like 2 hours later I saw them sitting off in a corner, cross legged, all sweaty and obviously rolling, giving each other hand massages and shit, I laughed to myself and was not only glad that they weren't just another shady older undercover, but that they found some shit, and were having a good time.

lol that's funny as!

Had a mate go to prison for selling E a week ago. It was his own fault he's there. They caught 6in the coin pocket of his jeans and in his interview he said he'd been selling 8-10 a fortnight, plus a lot more last NYE.

Judge took it all into account at gave him 6 months, with 3 of it being suspended. Hope he's alright, I'm pretty worried for him.

He shouldn't have said anything as he'd be walking free now, but at least they didn't catch him with the REAL amount he'd be passing along. It made him totally stop that straight after he got caught though, so he'd already learned his lesson.

If you ever get caught, only tell them as much as they can prove.
