Undercover cops at raves

Nah Im sorry but entrapment in the UK doenst apply! If your at a gig and somebody buys/sells your pills and your then busted then your screwed.

Seriously though thinking about it - the cop that sold you the beans are not going to then arrest you, are they? They would simply have another cop standing behind you and as soon as the deal is done they would arrest you and the 'seller' would walk away.

it kind of applys it doesnt flat out get you the innocent verdict but as the link says (wikipedia lol) it can void some evidence due to being unfair. You dont have to prove that you didnt do somthing just put enough doubt in the jury to wether you did.

I'm totally with you on this one. If someone asks me if I'm rolling and I am of course I'll be like "OMG YES I'M ROLLING FACE! WHAT ARE YOU ON?"; it just bring this great vibe of 'I'm feelin' great and so are you!'. It's no big deal, even if you were talking to a UC there is nothing illegal about it. If they ask me where to find pills though, I just say I don't know and they're fine with it.
 
In general, undercovers aren't interested in busting individuals who are on drugs- they want to stop the selling. I've yet to see an undercover pretend to sell- they almost always try to buy. We probably get approached 5+ times in clubs and raves when we go out from people wanting to buy MDMA in LA even when we aren't rolling- most of the time, I'm pretty sure they're just genuinely wanting to roll. One time a guy who looked uncomfortable, over 30, and kind of a meat head approached my boyfriend and kept bugging him and bugging him for pills, he finally said "dude, I just want what you're on, sell me that?", and my boyfriend goes "OK, I'll go to the bar and buy a gin and tonic, and sell it to you, OK?" LOL, the dude finally gave up. I think my boyfriend tried to hug him good bye, but the guy wasn't interested in hugs, LOL.

Dude, some peoples kandi is so awesome, like ones that took forever that they made for keepers/ someone special of theirs made for them

So I have to admit I've traded a pill for kandi before, because I totally wanted the kandi, I gave them the experience of the MDMA high and I got awesome kandi :]
 
Cops are just like us ravers, they want to get the people who arent meant to be at the rave scene, like the sketchy cholos and asians selling bunk pills for profits. Their not going to arresst the kid wearing kandi dancing around. Their looking for the people mossying around the crowd with their hands in their pockets whispering in kids ears. If you look like your suppose to be there for fun they wont fuck with you.

Cops can't do that, it's called entrapment.
 
Try arguing entrapment once a cops already found shit on you. You don't have the power you think you do because even if you were in the right, if a cop searches you and finds something, your credibility is out the window. Best thing to do is just avoid cops altogether. Don't buy pills at events and don't tell ANYONE your high. Also, don't trade pills for anything either. Bottom line is you don't want to give the cop/undercover an excuse to search you or any of your friends.
 
my 2 cents would be, be careful at massives, because thats really the only time i've seen lots of under covers. Every single massive i've been to, i've encountered or my friends have encountered an undercover cop.
 
If you're just there rollin and having a great time... undercover or not no cop is gonna mess with you

BUTTTT.... I wouldn't be surprised if the cops did have undercovers walking around trying to sell pills.

One time at a rave I was already rolling on pills i had brought and some random dude just walked by us asking if we needed any pills. It's just too shady and not worth the risk.

Sounds to me just like a dealer lol. I've never seen / heard about anyone getting busted for buying (not that it couldn't happen) because in reality law enforcement is really after dealers. But still, exercise caution.

That would work if it was one on one - the problem is when your off your head your not watching the bigger picture.

Say a person asks if you have a spare pill and you think - Ill help out and you sell one. You then have on your person a note which more than likely has had its serial number noted - a third or fourth person then grabs you and your under arrest for selling drugs.
You have no way of legally proving that you only sold the one pill that night and from a legal stand point the Police have documented proof that your selling drugs.
Its entrapment (legal definition) but you can not prove that somebody asked you for a pill and you were only helping them out.


Somebody asks you to help them find pills - they give you the money and walk with you (so easy to do when your already rolling) you go upto a dealer and hand over the money - turn around, to find another dude standing their and your busted for possession with intent.

Certain events the leos have targets that they need to achieve to make them look good - IF they cant get the big boys then they will sure as hell come after the users.

An arrest on paper (even if it gets chucked out before court) still looks good - The Police made 500 arrests for drug offenses at xyz event.

I was an avid raver for over 10 years - Ive seen so many people (friends included) get busted. Not all of them were dealing drugs.

Sadly, I think it carries less.

Although, selling pills with multiple chemicals in it, irregardless of the amount, should be charged with possession of EACH of those chemicals

If you're selling meth/bzp pills, get charged for all of the fucking above.
 
Actually... I think you get in just as much trouble.

there is indeed a charge related to selling counterfeit (bunk/fake) drugs and if I recall correctly, it's pretty fucking severe!

There's an article on the main page of bluelight. I think it's called "Born Illegal". Have a read, it deals with that charge.

If you're selling pills as ecstasy, you'll get charged for distributing MDMA regardless of what's in them.
 
Entrapment is when a law enforcement officer attempts to coerce you into doing something you wouldn't normally do. Entrapment will only apply if you're a law abiding citizen and your actions were a direct result of them approaching you.
