^ Wow, that excludes a very wide range of drugs. Even weed can be habit forming for some people.
I know.
I have been an opiate addict, weed addict, coffee addict, coke abuser(though it was never daily), alcoholic, and psychonaut, at various points of my life.
Up until recently, earlier this month in fact, where I've completely stopped my drug intake and have been sober for a damn long period compared to what I'm used to, a little over 3 weeks.
The habit of always wanting to be high has really got me down lately. It just didn't feel good anymore.
Just me though. Habit forming substances have lead to pretty unacceptable consequences for me.
If I want to talk just purely the physical effects of drugs, though, I would have to say downers like Lorazepam, Valium, Xanax, and an excessive amount of alcohol qualify as unacceptable. I hate feeling sloppy and slow, and I don't like impairing my speech or though patterns willfully. Acid has lead to some pretty bad things for me as well, but that was more of a set and setting issue.
