A TEENAGER from Aldershot who claims his life has been ‘shattered’ by an addiction to legal highs, has called for their sale to be banned.

Stewart Denmark, 16, of North Town, told the News & Mail how he became so hooked on products that he could buy legally over the counter, that he would take them every half an hour. Now he is attempting to fight his addiction, but was struck with withdrawal symptoms just hours after quitting the Annihilation and Mary Joy. Now he says he is struggling with severe anxiety, mood swings, sickness, paranoia and constant nausea, as the drugs leave his body. “It’s completely taken my life away from me,” he said. “This is the worst thing that has ever happened to me and I want to warn other people before it does this to them.” Stuart, who has been diagnosed with attention deficit disorder, admits he struggled to ‘feel normal’ at times, which led him to drug use. He then went to Skunkworks, an Aldershot shop that sells legal highs with his friends and purchased the drugs, and was able to buy them over the counter.

During his rehabilitation, he claims he underwent drug tests which found his blood contained traces of amphetamines and opium.

well he really should have researched them before just taking them because they were "legal" He is just as much to blame as they are, they are not really to blame, well the people that package them into eye candy packets that entice people to buy them are to blame too. But it's about 50/50, his fault and the vendors faults, not the drugs fault at all.

^^I think it's a bit more than 50/50. I'd hate to see what pussy Stewart would have to say if he was addicted tor real drugs

have you come off noids ? even the watered down amounts you get in these blends can give you opioid style withdrawls and we do not know as to what mental affects these things may leave down the road . so saying they aint real drugs with real problems is a bit daft really :)

Yeah, I've done w/ds from most types of drugs. It's just that this guy sounds like a whining pantywaist.

I actually had a friend that went through a phase of smoking those smoking blends and he used to complain to me like he had withdrawals from smoking that legal blends..The way he would sometimes describe the w/d sounded 'opiate-like' to me.. I'm glad I never liked those fake cannibnoid chems, the high is nasty and un-pleasant.
