UK Ketamine Thread v.2 - shortage or not?

Just out of interest. We use ketamine at work (very rarely and only in VERY severe injuries) but I was wondering if medical (or for that matter Veterinary) ketamine ever makes it onto the black market?

Even if it did I can't imagine it would be in any sort of quantity since the amounts used medically are so small that there is less chance of "spillover" than with something used much more often like say morphine or even pharma grade diamorphine but I just wondered if any folks who use ketamine recreationaly had ever seen the pharmaceutical grade stuff that we use on the blackmarket?

People just shamelessly steal it in bulk straight from the companies they work for, whatever these companies do with the substance (synthesize it, produce vials or just break bulk amounts into smaller containers). This is Germany though and we just love chemicals, I have no idea how big the industry is in GB.

I still don't quite understand the huge (!) discrepancy between the German and British market. Customs don't exactly watch the borders since both countries and France are part of the EU. There are Dutch sources that sell amounts north of *snip* for as little as *snip*. *snip* costs around *snip* here in Germany and *snip* are available at around *snip*. The price for single grams is usually around *snip*. Often dealers carry both s isomer and racemic product. I've never seen any cut ketamine EVER, but I hear that is more common in clubs.

You apparently don't know all that much about the drug trade of the Netherlands, do you? You can get k for 60 EUR per 20g from Pakistan (at least you could 1 year ago), so why is a price of 2 €/g at amounts above 10kg so hard to believe? We are talking about international drug trade here. Something you apparently aren't familiar with. You probably call bullshit on the Paki prices, too, right? Last word I've lost on this. Really don't need to argue with some internet sceptic who doubts others before asking questions.

Few years ago (<2012) 7000-8000€ for a kilo seemed pretty standard in NL and as end user I'd get 10 gram bags for 120€ or €100. Now though, not so much.

Me neither. I wasn't aware ketamine could crystallize like that. I wonder under what conditions it does. I've only ever seen needles.

Lol ok, maybe just point it out to me before reporting lol. I wasn't aware of this despite having been active for 10 years. Shame on me! I will just edit the post (and you should edit your quote). I was obviously referring to per gram prices though lol, as is done not only by drug dealers by convention. Who in his right mind would think anyone bothers to move a muscle for 2 Euros? rofl

Btw this was six years back, I should have added that. I am certain about this since a friend I've known for an eternity made such a buy back then. Enough of this though, totally inappropriate to discuss this.

Picked up a gram last night. Weight was spot on, paid £45 which is madness but really fancied some. Seems decent from a little bump

Seems so. Was actually decent, probably a solid 8. Lacked a bit of strength where by didn't seem to have to be really careful with size of a key bump, but slightly bigger than pea sized certainly got wonky, not tried lines but have about half left so will give it a go over new year

Got some more over New Year, same source. Very nice stuff. 70mg or so was enough to K hole (low tolerance) had a lovely warm hour in bed rolling around getting lost in my duvet. Accompanied by a nice soundtrack of techno. Hopefully it continues

Already tried it. Paramedics said they couldn't give me any ketamine as there is a drought on.
