Do you guys meet any greenlighters?

I joined in August 02 and went to my first meet up in the october, (somewhere in Sheffield, with those l33t BLers who seem to have dissapeared many moons ago like masheadatronix, hijinx, setarcos etc) only just out of gl status iirc, i seem to remember someone was a bit wary of me prior to the said night, but paranoia was unnecessary, it was an amazing night..

Just go to one, noone should be paranoid, (well maybe keep precise details off public board to be on safe side) but i think there has only been a single case of a bl meetup bust in 10 years and that wasnt even in the UK. I doubt the coppers could be arsed infiltrating one (they dont have the resources now anyway with the budget cuts lol) , and it'd be waste of their time in any case, UK BLers just consume to tea and biscuits at meet ups

How many drug abusers does it take to organise a meetup? Too many. I think someone needs to be assertive about the date and location then people can organise themselves.

I'm just your typical early 20s English lad, from Telford, West Mids, with a passion for quality underground house music.

None of my mates are into the same sort of the scene and i'm the sorta person who bangs on about how he 'wished he was around in the early 90s rave scene' and despite being clued up on his music, hasn't got a clue where to start when it comes to events

As i've said on another thread, i am NEVER going to a shitty generic cheesy local town centre nightclub again.

Organising it is the easy bit. Getting money off folk is whats hard. You don't want to be the one putting in all the work, ringing round, getting the best deal then paying for it all then trying to get your money back. If you wait until everyone has paid before you pay then chances are you'll miss the cut off and someone else will snag the deal. I was going to organise one 1024 suggested but getting money off people was too difficult. No one can agree on anything.

If there was a Scottish meetup happening I would be interested. Would kind of need to know like a month in advance at the moment though with finances/things happening locally etc.

exactly, I had pretty much organised the dates the place and everything, it was just getting money of people that turned out to be the majore hassle, people would ignore me then say that they were not sure they could make it. I bet if it had been all paid for and sorted then they all would have come.
