Two chemistry students expelled from university.

Damn right, what the fuck was the uni board thinking?

It's just like jailing professionals for drug crimes, or just about anybody for that matter. Once you get out and can't find a real job, a luxurious life of crime seems pretty appealing... gotta beat that system that screwed ya over...
 
It sounded like they were synthing chemicals a bit more challenging than MDMA or DMT. 'Stimulating and hallucinogenic' to me screams 2C-X/DOx compounds, among other PiKHAL lovelies.
 
So the legal authorities waited one year before informing the university and the students were expelled for unsactioned use of a lab scale. Sounds to me like the products involved were not illegal at the time. So i went to the monteur belge and looked at which chemicals have ended up on the naughty list in the past year.

Remove the CB agonists, the regular RC and the opiats and you have my suggestion for a short list : 4mbc, beta-ethyl-methcathinone, M-alfa, 5meodpt.

What is 5-meo-dpt doing on that list? I really can't see any reason why they would ban that one, as it is a very rare and obscure tryptamine. Maybe they were going for 5-meo-dipt and just got the name wrong? =D
 
That entire list apart from the first 3 JWHs doesn't make sense .. I have theory that the person who made it secretly uses RC's himself and didn't want the good ones and the halfway decent ones banned =D
 
They would have gotten a hell of alot more time here.








Not to mention I would have buggered them both on the way to the station.
 
belgium adopts the european laws regarding drugs. 5-meo-dipt, 2c-t-7 and 2c-b are on that european list for instance. the ones listed on the moniteur are illegals for belgium specifically. its not that surprising a legal investigation takes a year. the justice department (and any other bureaucracy here) is incredibly slow. just look at how long it took us to form a government; we broke the world record by a landslide =D
