The Ali G Show...

If there's a thread on this, I missed it.

What is your favorite sketch?

I love when he's interviewing the creationist, evolutionist in his "Techmology" segment.

"Yo chiggity check yo self, before you wreck ya self...Techmology...is it good, o is it bad...daz what we'z bout to find out today..."

"will computas eva be able to figure out what 99999999999999999999999999999999999 mutpliyed by 9999999-"

"Yes, they already can"

"hold on you dint know wut I wuz gun say...99999999101010101011111111hundred million thousand...wiffout blowing up."

:) =D

i like ali g but i think the joke is getting a little old now. my favourites include the posh and becs interview on comic relief and the interview with the FBI guy.

Its all about the BBC episodes, HBO series seems lacking. The posh and Beckham interview was fucking brilliant too.

"aw'wright ay'um 'ere wit my main man buzz aldren"

as borat: "my wife, she is dead" "oh boy im sorry" "its ok I have a new one, she is nice ::proceeds to show naked pictures of her::" "you have a krem just like my uncle, can i touch?"

I like the one where he interviews the guy from the DEA and asks him if there is really a drug in Exstacy that makes you dance like a prick.

Brilliant show.

He had C. Everett Coop looking like a clown.

"What is the percent chance that I will eventually die?"

"That would be one hundred percent."

"You're being a bit of a pessimist."

*************************

Interview with homophobic Alabama running back:

"Do you get to date your teammates or do you have to wait until after the season?"

i've seen bits and pieces and it's always been funny (moreso when the celebs didn't seem to know what to do or where to look), but i could imagine it getting old very quickly...

I couldn't stand the Posh/Becks interview. Seems a total different style of humour from his HBO episodes.

Hands down favorite skit has to be when he's trying to sell his James Bond style TV show.

"Me name is James Bond..... Jaaaames Bond..."

Alltime Favorite:
Borat Sagdiyev: "You make a time machine?"
Guy: "Can someone please get through to him?"
Old Lady: "Im trying hard, but he keeps asking about buying a slave, we dont DO that here!!!"

I wet my pants so many times laughing about this...it got old after a while, but privided me and my woman with hours of fun on while on heroin.

Yea I think that Ali G is hilarious, but I watched the premiere and was kind of disappointed just because it seemed to be the same old thing. You should of caught the marathon of season 1 the other night.

^True. It started off hilarious, but was pretty stale by the time the shitty movie came out. Also, I think his other character Borat is funnier. That skit where he interviews all the fox hunters is priceless :D

I find Sacha Baron Cohen's schtick to be pretty amusing. Perhaps it's not exactly new and refreshing like it was only a few short years ago, but his show on HBO is good for some laughs. Was his "coolness" lost with mainstream acceptance and a journey across the pond? He's doing what he does best as an entertainer, and I guess his popularity has now created the inevitable backlash of negativity that comes with it.

Cheesy? Sure. Stupid? Yup. Redundant? Indeed. Still funny? No doubt.

Ali G rocked when he first came out about 6 years ago when he only had a 5 minute bit on the 11 o'clock show in the UK. The first series he had on his own started off very well but by the end of it and around the time the movie came out he seemed to lose some of his appeal. However, the last series that he done over here (Ali G in th USAIII) was fucking fantstic. The introduction of Bruno was a masterstroke, I've never seen anyone make people look like self-obsessed morons with so little effort. The last series was all the better as no one in the UK expected it to be so good after the poor film.

Not sure if Ali G will be about much longer but I definitely think their will be a lot more to come from Sacha Baron-Cohen.
