TV: The Ali G Show

The character of Borat is absolute genius... Ali G was pretty good at the start, then kinda got a bit old, then got better again (in my opinion) with the US series, but Borat was always brilliant. Bruno is an amusing addition to the line-up as well.

Random fact: In the early Ali G clip where he goes to a farm and doesn't know what a chicken is, the farmer he talks to is my uncle. No shit.

Borat - Ali G Show

One of the funniest fucking foreigners ever.

Buying a House:

My wife uh very scared from ehh, men witha chocolate face. They will be in this commonity?

Before you say WTF, you won't understand this if you haven't seen it......

I had a feeling that was going to happen. Not the joke wearing thin, but him being too recognizable. Methinks he should come up with a new character.

borat hosting the mtv euro awards was fantastic, though i only watched for 30 minutes or so because i couldn't endure the "music". his madonna transvestite remarks were funny as fuck post her performance. i'll have to get a copy and ff through the music cause i missed his freddie mercury bit (saw it partially on a promo).

Plug pulled ... Kazakh TV reporter Borat / Reuters

THE authorities in Kazakhstan, angered by a British comedian's satirical portrayal of a boorish, sexist and racist Kazakh television reporter, have pulled the plug on his alter ego's website.
Sacha Baron Cohen plays Borat in his Da Ali G Show and last month he used the character's website www.borat.kz to respond sarcastically to legal threats from the Central Asian state's Foreign Ministry.

A government-appointed organization regulating websites that end in the .kz domain name for Kazakhstan confirmed today it had suspended Cohen's site.

"We've done this so he can't badmouth Kazakhstan under the .kz domain name," Nurlan Isin, President of the Association of Kazakh IT Companies, told Reuters. "He can go and do whatever he wants at other domains."

Isin said the borat.kz website had broken new rules on all .kz sites maintaining two computer servers in Kazakhstan and had registered false names for its administrators.

Cohen, as Borat, hosted the MTV Europe Music Awards in Lisbon last month and described shooting dogs for fun and said his wife could not leave Kazakhstan as she was a woman.

Afterwards, Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry said it could not rule out that he was under "political orders" to denigrate Kazakhstan's name and threatened to sue him.

Cohen, who is Jewish, responded to the legal threats on the www.borat.kz site in character, saying: "I have no connection to Mr Cohen and fully support my government's position to sue this Jew."

In typical vein, he went on: "Please, captain of industry, I invite you to come to Kazakhstan, where we have incredible natural resources, hard working labour and some of the cleanest prostitutes in all of Central Asia."

Borat is one of several outrageous characters devised by Cohen in his television shows. He shot to fame as Ali G, who mocks British street gang culture, and also plays Bruno, a gay Austrian fashion show presenter.

My fav comical character of all time is Borat!

Been impersonating his voice since the late ninties and I have it down sound!

I highly recommend the Best of Borat. Bits and pieces from his earlier work when his was produced out of Channel 4 in Britain. There are some scenes when he goes back home to Kazakstahn which are hilarious.

I hear the Borat the movie is coming out next year. I expect it to be a bit more childish like Ali G the movie was.

"you have big bullocks?... can I touch them!?"
