Update: my dad was released from hospital last night, after blood tests determined there was no cardiac muscle damage, so no myocardial infarction! They think it may have been muscular or bad indigestion, however my dad needs to call an ambulance at the first sign of any chest pains, given his history. I'm just glad that he follows that advice, rather than ignores it. It's just hard being 2000km away.

SO i'm off to hospital tomorrow for a thing, and am currently subsisting on a diet of black coffee, apple juice, chicken broth and jelly. This afternoon i have to drink 4L or so of liquid in 4 hours. The water component doesn't bother me much, it's what i have to mix it with that isn't too palatable. Salty, salty fake-lemon flavoured crap - it tastes like Lemsip, and i don't like lemsip. boo!

edit: So i realised that the chicken broth stuff has bits of spring onion in it, so i can't freaking have it.

Oh, I have a frown too: the person who said they'd copy my old hard drive and put in my new one hasn't done it yet. Though they're doing it for free so I shouldn't complain too much.
