trump new york fraud investigations

Some young bucks at the IRS are gearing up to take trump down now too. I mean when you get on TV and act smart because you evaded taxes and then have the law come after you I have no sympathy for that nonsense.

The few magas in my life I have been speaking from my heart. I am going to stop antagonizing and speak from the heart. I get people's gripes, but understand how a con man uses that to make you believe they are the answer. But trump is no answer. I am starting to think the repubs want to lose again. Maybe that is a way to get rid of him. I mean who in the hell wants to owe him? Or have their secrets kept behind some loyalty and bribes. I actually heard a military relative totally reverse on trump. Voted for him in 2016 and 2020. But he met trump and Biden and said trump ignored him, Biden treated him like a human being. So there's one less vote for trump from a family member. One more for Biden.

Yes I wish we had younger people running but I do blame trump for that.

Yes this is textbook psychological buffet. And now he put his daughter in law as the head of the RNC (trump is not even in the game) and she said all money goes to trump. And all the other republicans agree? Time to get strong. I am not a told you so kind of guy. Yes I wish we had someone younger candidates but like @tryptakid stated in another thread:
"Joe Biden isn't a hero, or a mastubatory glory icon for anyone, he's a statesman who is trying to guide us through a pretty volatile period that has suddenly snuck up on all of us. Our former reality TV star on the other hand, is just looking to make drama."

I think the most generic BBC comment was 'one expects perfidy but with a certain êlan'.

Kise said the former president will “of course appeal.”

Just out of interest, who within his own organization did Trump throw under a bus? After all, it's never his fault, it's always someone else's.

You know, from this side of the pond most people just watch the guy, listen to his speeches, tweets and interviews... then looks at DSM-3a code 301.7.

I think the US has something called the Goldwater rule where a psychiatrist cannot comment on a persons mental health without interviewing them. But the thing is, that IS the case for mental illness but it's NOT the case for personality disorders. Because by their very nature one has to view that person based on how they interact with others.

Someone who openly states they intend to be a dictator will, if not prevented, become a dictator. He didn't even hide it. It was a proud statement. And NO, I do not believe it was said as a joke - only people with a sense of humour can do jokes.

He definitely needs his head examined

And, while he’s getting his head examined, they should also examine the head of whoever is willing to be Trump’s bondsman lol

alina habba said, publicly and on more than one occasion, that trump is very rich and will have no trouble paying this judgement or posting a bond pending appeal.

"I mean, he does, of course he has money. You know, he's a billionaire. We know that."
"I'm not gonna get into privileged information, but there will be a bond, and there will be no issues with that,"
"Unfortunately, they picked the wrong guy to pick on, in my opinion, because he's strong, he's resilient and he happens to have a lot of cash."
etc.
well, maybe not so much.

they already asked for a stay in the e. jean carroll case as they're having trouble getting that money together. and that is 'only' $91M

now they can't find anyone willing to issue the bond in the ny fraud case: Trump can’t post $464M bond in New York civil case, lawyers say

"NEW YORK — Donald Trump told an appellate court here Monday that he can’t obtain a bond for the full amount of the civil fraud judgment against him — more than $450 million, including interest — raising the possibility that the state attorney general’s office could begin to seize his assets unless the court agrees to halt the judgment while the former president appeals the verdict.

Trump’s lawyers said in a court filing that “ongoing diligent efforts have proven that a bond in the judgment’s full amount is a ‘practical impossibility,’” adding that those efforts “have included approaching about 30 surety companies through 4 separate brokers.”

all trump's claims about how stupid rich he is turned out to be a bunch of bullshit?

no surprise.

He is complete and udder bullshit. He needs to stick to being a slumlord; and that was already too generous. Any human being that got sued for racism in 63; do you know how much racism was tolerated in 63?

tangentially related...

donald trump made a nice chunk of change with the going public of trump media and technology group (nasdaq: djt) a few days ago. trump owns 60% of the company which is, today, valued at $8.4 billion.

(in the first 9 months of) last year, truth social made a whopping $3 million while reporting $49 million in net losses.

a company with similar market cap and share price is etsy (nasdaq: etsy). etsy had a pretty bad year last year and reported net earnings of $308 million.

in true meme stock style, it may go even higher in the coming days and weeks but, with the way it struggles to attract users (and therefore advertisers), the longer-term trend can, surely, only be downward?

predictions for djt stock price a year from now?

Trump Media stock tanks as new filing reveals heavy losses, 'greater risks' on Trump's involvement

"Trump Media & Technology Group (DJT), the parent company of Donald Trump's social media platform Truth Social, sank more than 22% in midday trading on Monday following its blockbuster debut last week.

The stock drop comes on the heels of an updated regulatory filing early Monday that showed the company taking on heavy losses and facing "greater risks" associated with the former president's ties to the platform.

According to the filing, Trump Media reported sales of just over $4 million as net losses reached nearly $60 million for the full-year ending Dec. 31. The company warned it expects losses to continue amid greater profitability challenges.

Good. Guess they didn't learn their lesson with Trump Bucks or Trump NFTs or one of any of his fraudulent business.

Also, Reddit, which has 270 million unique users weekly, had an initial IPO value of 6.5 billion.

Truth Social, which had 5 million total users, was 7 billion.

Anybody with above 70 IQ should understand there is something wrong with that.

Cultists gonna cult. Grifters gonna grift. Skaters gonna skate.

Also the juicy irony of conservatives saying Trump's fraud is a "victimless crime". The banks were certainly victimized.

But when it comes to forgiving student loan debt, they're all standing with the banks and defending their interests.

Usually I'm all for protecting retail investors but I'm gonna let this one play out....

But we all know some of the richer republicans (as well as dems) hire illegals to save money. So the hypocrisy is astounding.
Yep, even Trump was sued a few times and paid millions in fines for knowingly hiring illegal immigrants.

Trump was a democrat for many years, so it's kind of funny that he calls other people RINOs.

Yeah I am from NY. I believe trump was friends with the Clintons. He went to one of their weddings. Chelsea? But I also remember when he was saying almost word for word that republicans are so stupid they would do anything you tell them. I also know a friend who invested all his money into one of the trump condo projects in Nyack, NY. He put in like $70,000.00 or something like that. He and wife were going to move in. But Trump took all the money people invested and actually was they all found out he had no plans to complete the project and declared bankruptcy. No one that invested got their money back. And it took a while for friend to get out of a depression. And while I just said last post it is hard for me to say anyone or myself are ever victims, I think in that case the people the that invested their money actually thought it was a real project and are true victims. It was but whatever trump did the condos sat unfinished and empty for a few years. And anyone that lived in that area knows where that is. It littered the water front.

Trump fraud trial bond drawn into question by New York AG

"The $175 million bond in former President Trump’s civil fraud trial is at risk after the New York attorney general’s office questioned the qualifications of the California-based company that posted it.

State lawyers wrote in a brief court notice Thursday that they take “exception to the sufficiency of the surety,” secured from Knight Specialty Insurance Company.

The notice requires Trump or the insurance company to demonstrate that the company is financially capable of paying the bond amount if Trump loses on appeal and that the bond is appropriately collateralized.

“Defendants or (Knight) shall file a motion to justify the surety within ten days of the service of this notice, failing which the Bond shall be without effect, except that the surety shall remain liable on the Bond until a new undertaking is given and allowed,” state lawyers wrote in the filings.
"

tl;dr the company who put up the bond for trump pending appeal in the ny fraud case may not have the money.

only the best people.

defense has rested in the criminal trial.

alina habba claimed, on more than one occasion, that trump would testify, saying trump “is willing, he is able, he is nothing to hide it all. He's absolutely ready to tell the truth.

trump said he would testify: “I’m testifying. I tell the truth.

not so much.

props to his lawyers for getting their way. trump on the stand would have been a gift to the prosecution.
