tripping at inception

so me and my friend were thinking about going and seeing the movie inception in the theater while tripping on mushrooms. do you think it would be to intense? ive had 19 mushroom trips and have only had one bad trip n i managed to salvage it, it was only bad cuz somthing very bad happened to my dealer who was also one of my really good freind. but anyway i was also wondering has anyone seen it? cuz iv heard it like blows ur mind sober so tripping it would be sick. do you think if i went at a time where the theater wasnt crowed could i do whipits if sitting away from everyone else?
 
i would be uncomfortable on mushrooms in a movie theatre, id prefer to be outside.
But maybe its something you would enjoy.

Take a lower dose if you do decide to do it.

And do not do whip its in the movie theatre.
Youre just asking to get caught and get in trouble.
And while you're tripping, that would be horrible.

Just save the whip its for after the movie
 
I don't think I'd go to a movie on mushrooms. Especially not inception. Even though it is "trippy" it has all kinds of disturbing events and imagery that I believe would've just ruined me on mushrooms. Not like "gross stuff" just things that provoke very negative emotions.

Agreed.

The last thing you want while tripping is to have to run away from security, or god forbid, fight them.

Just keep a low-profile. <3
 
I think it would be better if you go and see Inception, then trip afterwards :)

Also, bulbs at the movies is just a bad idea. I did it once because my mates roped me into it, and I just couldn't follow the movie.

^^ YESSS! :D It's a good movie, but honestly, it would be better to be outside and trip. Plus, as was mentioned earlier, it has plenty of negative 'vibes' [now i just sound like a hippy, but you know what I mean ;)]. You'd probably lose track of the movie and just have no idea what's going on by the end.

^ Can't agree more. I can't speak for mushrooms but I can speak for psilacetin which is very similar. Movies can be good or bad depending on your mindset at the time, and really, I wouldn't buy tickets in advance, but I'd trip with the friend - and if you feel like seeing the movie at the time, do it. I wouldn't go with a big dose, but if you do what I suggested, then as long as you wait until you've come up fully you'll know if you feel like watching it or not while tripping.

DEFINITELY do not attempt to do whippets in the cinema, even if you were the only one there that'd be a huge risk, especially when you're already tripping and will find it harder to hide it. If you absolutely must do them then, the best bet would be to go for a toilet break during the film and do them in cubicles - but even that I wouldn't advise, it'd really be best to do them before/after the film.

when i was even stupider, i once did some nitrous while traveling by train. i'll never fucking do that again. the noises from the train, + passengers around me freaked me out more than eating half a gram of hashish would ever do. thank god it doesn't last long, but fuck me. if you are anything like me, DON'T DO IT

Considering this happens to a lot of people watching Inception sober, there is a very chance on shrooms. I have enough trouble following relatively simple plots when tripping.. My mind has better things to do in that state ;)

Top class movie though.
 
If you do trip at a movie, the best times would either be:

1: During the day, when there aren't that many people in the theater.
2: Monday - Thursday night. For the same reason.

Either way, the whip its are a bad idea. Save that kind of thing for after the movie.
 
Don't, it would be too hard to follow. Unless you have already seen it a few times.
Its really good sober!

totally. It`s a killer movie but I didn`t think it was that trippy and I would think that you`d end up getting confused as to what the hell is going on.
 
I went and saw Transformers while on mushies and can tell you it's a waste, it makes it really hard to focus on the movie and understand what is going on. Also we kept getting distracted by the wall looking cool. You can't really trip off video too easy from my experience.

Why not tripp on something that won't make you potentially lose it. The reason I say this, is that my basic math says:

You have had a bad tripp 1/20 times. Current bad tripp chance: 1/20
You're watching a Inception in a small dark space where you are controlled. CBTC: x2; 1/10
There is security to add on to chances of paranoia. CBTC: x2; 1/5

You didn't tell us how many friends there will be, so I will assume there is just you and 2 other friends. so the chance will now be multiplied by 3.
Chance of a bad tripp: 3/5

But all jokes aside, don't waste good shrooms on a bad tripp that could cost you more than a wasted tripp. Eat morning glory seeds, or something else with a stimulation induced tripp.
 
I wouldn't recommend it. I find watching TV and movies on most psychedelics to be frustrating if the movie or show has a storyline worth following. I find myself struggling to follow the storyline and understand what might be going on, and I never get "captivated" in movies like I do when I'm sober. I feel like I'm sitting down looking at a screen, while I should be outside doing something. I might see it while I was high, but I think that seeing it on a trip would be a waste of both the movie and the trip.
 
watching a movie on a medium to high dose of psychedelics seems like a waste. why focus on a screen that you must try hard to determine what is ACTUALLY THERE when you could have 1000x more fun just looking at the moon or clouds or trees or your lover's face and seeing millions of layers of depth, personality, and life flowing from every microscopic pore that you can now see and crawl inside... oh hello little friend, nice to meet you! you wouldn't want to pay $12 for a movie ticket and waste your two hours staring at the tiles on the bathroom floor play out an intricate rendition of Shakespeare meets Tarantino :D

IMO the only time movies mix well with psyches is on a threshold to mild dose, for the emotional enhancement and euphoria without too much visual distraction or time dilation. alice in wonderland 3D on 14mg psilacetin was just perfect!
 
First of all, what a great fucking movie! I was blown away in the theater and I was sober!

Just me, but I wouldn't advise tripping for this movie. If you don't or can't keep up with the story it can become very difficult to know which way is up, and then it could get ugly really quickly if you're tripping balls.

I've never seen a movie on shrooms, but I went to the first Matrix on acid, and it was an unholy experience. While I didn't really have a bad trip, I was absolutely convinced it was reality and everything was happening to me. I also freaked out when that thing crawled up his belly button, and became really paranoid of the other people in the theater.

If you want to have a great experience with this movie, go see it sober first, then when it comes out trip on it at home! It's a wild ride either way!!!
 
Personally, moving images on screens are NOT fun on psychedelics.

On a somewhat tangential note, the best trip of my entire life occurred the night I saw Avatar (a result of DMT) -- I believe that the sci-fi ideas presented in the movie in some way allowed me to open up to a broader spectrum of spiritual explanations for the trip.
