Trey is tres da man superico, yallbiatchez.

Dat man make so much moeny he say fuck this ashit I aint no singin to you poor hippies no more monn. Heyman, it no be about dee music no more man; hell no bitch, I much much too afraid of dee policemen to walk mee white ass up on dat dere stage and sing some kind of happy go lucky be Phishy song to dees loses. It be about de BENJAMINS dis time man; di Benjamins and di cowardice. De latter condicion is dee superbitch; it make puerco jobs muy facile. They no have to arrest druggies at my druggie concert no more cuz I'm skeered to sing in front of de big policeman yall!

Look who's in the freezer, now.
Third, he got busted with generally low exoticity, low desirability, prescription yet still medium to highly illegal narcotics.

Hey, Trey, PM me if you need help relocating your ballsac once again long enough to muster enough courage to face the world and do your thing, which is of course singing. It's ok little, buddy, the feds have not outlawed concerts and or singing, freedom of assembly, freedom of speech or even having clean fun (yet); RATHER, THEY HAVE IN ACTUALITY INTIMIDATED YOU JUST ENOUGH TO QUIT YOUR LIFELONG PASSION BY YOUR OWN VOLITION. You have, by your own self-evident cowardice and public unwilingness to stand up for your right to perform and do your musical duty, or maybe you made more money than you had fun.

Life without music makes me collicky.
Consider yourself powned unaware unbeknowsted intimated and fucked by a pharm animal, genus and species commonly known as Americanus pigfuckder.
Trey, in a word, you suck Trey. I'm sorry, baby.
Where do you plan to hide from publicity, fans, dharma, music, and all forms of authority following this incident?

I was gonna tell you not to post on bl when you're high on drugs but then I realized the irony in that.

Personally, I hate hippies, 'jammers', and Phish, but Trey can sure play the guitar. Plus, he doesn't look like a bad guy, even in that mug shot.

Haters: Go listen to Trey play guitar, and you'll at least gain some respect.

The man is a fantastic guitar player.

Period.

Karma's a bitch.

While I can't deny Trey's musical mastery, all the videotaped images I've ever seen of the guy told my gut he is a very, very selfish man. Don't ask me to expound on this -- it's just a vibe he always gave off to me. Know how all of us can cite an example of someone we don't like but can't help respecting? Trey Anastasio is the opposite for me.

I don't know much of anything about his selfishness vs. altruism (other than he has got to be too rich to do much good for one person), but he is an EXCELLENT musician. See also the Juliard School of Music, no?

Trey Anastasio: "I'm Addicted"
The Smoking Gun

JANUARY 5--Ex-Phish frontman Trey Anastasio told police that he was addicted to pain pills and had smoked hashish and taken Percocet and Hydrocodone prior to his arrest last month in upstate New York. Details of Anastasio's bust are contained in a supporting deposition from Andrew Mija, the Whitehall Police Department officer who nabbed the 42-year-old performer on December 15. As first reported by the Glens Falls Post-Star, the deposition, which was filed this week in court, notes that Anastasio told police that he had argued with his wife earlier in the day "because he was taking pills and that he had a problem." A copy of Mija's deposition can be found below. Anastasio, who is pictured in the mug shot at right, is facing drug possession, DWI-drugs, and driving without a license charges. (1 page)

ANASTASIO HANDED FELONY DRUG POSSESSION CHARGE

LATEST: Former PHISH frontman TREY ANASTASIO has been handed felony drug possession, driving under the influence of drugs and driving while intoxicated charges after being indicted in Vermont.
The rocker pleaded not guilty last month (JAN07) to misdemeanour charges of drug possession and driving under the influence of drugs but charges have now been added following new findings in the case.
Added charges relate to the discovery of the painkiller hydrocodone.
Prosecutors claim Anastasio was also caught with heroin, oxycodone and anti-anxiety drug alprazolam when he was pulled over by traffic police near Albany, Vermont in December (06).
If convicted on all charges, Anastasio, who could be arraigned later today (16FEB07), may face up to 14 years in prison.

I defy "The Man" to justify that ANYTHING this man has done in his life deserves even 14 *months* in prison.

He won't spend a day in jail. Whens the last time you heard of a celebrity doing any jail time for pills?

^which is for pot smoking.. which the US government see's and the worst "substance" in the world.

Trey wouldn't see the time.. he'll get off with community service and most likely a court-ordered rehab, if he pleads that he has a problem and wants to get better.

Ex-Phish singer reaches deal in drug case
United Press International
April 13, 2007

WHITEHALL, N.Y., , April 13, 2007 (UPI) -- Former Phish frontman Trey Anastasio pleaded guilty Friday to a felony drug charge stemming from a Dec. 15 traffic arrest in Whitehall, N.Y., officials said.

Anastasio was ordered into a drug court program instead of receiving jail time, E! News said. Beginning next week, he will start the regimented program that requires weekly court appearances and random drug- and alcohol-testing for the next year.

Anastasio previously pleaded not guilty to a seven-count indictment that included three felonies and carried a sentence of up to 14 years in prison.

Under terms of the plea agreement, the singer admitted to attempted possession of a controlled substance and to illegally possessing Vicodin, Percocet, heroin and Xanax when he was stopped.

If Anastasio completes the program, attorney Steve Coffey said his client will be on probation for five years. If not, he could be imprisoned for up to three years.

Coffey said he didn't think Anastasio would have trouble complying with the program's requirements. He said the singer spent a month in a treatment facility after his arrest and has been sober since.

Since Phish disbanded in 2004, Anastasio has been performing as a solo artist.

um, driving while completely fucked on painkillers, ie putting everyone on the road at risk, is certainly grounds for being sent to jail imo. dunno bout the time limit, but the guy is hardly without guilt
