Yes. But instead of on your skin, you can put it on the inside of your cheek, which is called buccal administration. Also you can put it under your tongue, which is sublingual administration. There are many threads regarding this here on bluelight, if you use the search engine you should find a lot of helpful information. I forget the exact figures off the top of my head but in my experience cheeking fentanyl has been much more effective. It comes on much quicker and I am pretty sure the bio-availability is higher as well.
Be careful though; If you do this, start with a SMALL pin head sized gob. Because when you wear it, it is releasing slowly over 3 days. Putting it in your mouth makes it release instantly, and will be MUCH more potent. Start with a pin head sized blob and if you aren't where you want to be like 45 minutes later, dose a little more. It is always smart to start small. You can always do more, but can't take it back once you do. You don't want to OD.
Many people also like to vaporize the gel off of tin foil. I have done this in the past, and it hits VERY fast and gives a rush of sorts.
Though in the spirit of harm reduction, it isn't the smartest thing to do, to break the time release of fentanyl patches since is is SUCH a potent opioid. It is VERY easy to take too much. Especially when smoking it, it is very easy to smoke a blob that is too big and fall out.
If you have a small opiate tolerance you should honestly just stick to wearing them. That way you can feel good for 3 days instead of blowing thru it in 6 hours.
