Opioids Tramadol

Interesting experience :) I would never think of time based safe box. What was your daily dosage at that point ? Did it grew a lot ? Personally, I did not experience huge increase, even after many years of use, from 100mg to 200mg daily, on average.

At that point i was off tramadol for some time. I started with a daily dosage of 300-400mgs. I was able to keep it that for around 2-3 months i think and i was able to stop without any significant consequences - i would say just more depressed, but depression more or less i can handle. Did it grew a lot? Yes up to i think the standard was 600mg-750mg (rarely i treated myself to 800mg with a benzo), at least i wasn't up to my old numbers but after those first three months i started having minor physical wds and it became much harder to function. It's good that you were able or are able to keep it in that range as it's not worth chasing the bigger dosage. Tramadol lowers the seizure threshold - some ppl are more prone to it, some don't have it, still it's better to dose with benzo or pregabalin to mitigate that risk. So it's not worth chasing that reward. Tramadol ultimately is nothing special a nice buzz that should be ocasionally kept between 100 mg to maybe 300 mg very rarely at that, maybe once a month.

Yeah, higher doses don't work for me, I just get sleepy and lethargic...It's actually contrary to what I need. Lower doses get me up and active, talkative and optimistic...

Did you notice how pain tolerance gets changed after prologed opioides use ? Like, you do it, you stop, but even after quite soem time, pain tolerance is modiffied. Sore throat is almost a nightmare, let alone toothache or smth like thta.

I go bad for 3 1/2 weeks after 400mg/day for 2 days. I notice this consistently every time. I am having some dental surgery next week and would love to use Tramadol. I have a lot of them on hand but I am leery. The last time I used 3 years ago was the last time. I may use a little codeine if the ibuprofen isn’t enough. Perhaps I may use an extra Butrans 5 patch per week if necessary. I think I will avoid the Tramadol. I like the buzz though.

Did someone ever get prescribed tramadol for depression ?
I understand its use in this regard is still being investigated.

Thats extremely interesting. Had I been prescribed Tramadol (following 6-7 years of trying Anti-depressants - including Lithium treatment - all of which failed to work) I dare say I may not have found myself self-medicating with heroin in the first place.

Of course you like the buzz, but you're borrowing tomorrows happiness. You'd be better off with Tylex 30mg/500mgs to be honest, especially considering your penchant for Tramadol. Of course if you've been away from Opiates for a long time, even Tylex 30's can give you one hell of a buzz. I recall being 8 months clean and finding half a box of Tylex 30s, and because it wasn't heroin I said fuck it and popped three...well wow, full on head rush, warmth, itches, euphoria...intensely pleasurable.

I've never tried Tramadol myself, though I know people who have. I wouldn't be able to trust myself with them. Would they be that much stronger than Codeine (ie Tylex/Solpodol)?

Tramadol is different than Codeine. Codeine may be a bit stronger opioid but the antidepressant effect of Tramadol makes it much more pleasurable than codeine and may appear stronger.

Lucky you with your 3-5 days. My habit was miniscule @0.2 a day and my cold turkeys would last at least 10-14 days before I'd even begin to be in a state to function again.
I guess I should have specified... 3-5 days for acute withdrawal...

Of course you can still feel off even after the acute withdrawal. In fact, I got to a point where I was never able to feel "normal" again without an opioid, which is why I'm on maintenance now.

I'd be interested in trying it to see its effects on my major depressive disorder (unless that goes away after my neurochemistry 'normalises' or levels off as much as its going to). The only other substance I'd be willing to try would be low dose Ketamine under the supervision of a mental health professional. Dont know if that's available in Ireland yet but if it was I'd sign up tomorrow. After 20 years I cant deal with the depression any longer. Sure, I can self-medicate with low-dose opioids, but neither the supply nor the quality is consistent and the people I have to deal with to get it are less than desirable.

Took a 200mg IR tablet by strantera.
I have an opioid tolerance, I take around 20-30g Kratom per day & a lot of ODSMT before that. I needed 100-150mg rectal ODSMT to get a good effect.

About 45min after I dosed the Tramadol, the serotonergic activity hit me very strongly. Felt almost trippy or like the comeup from MDMA.
A bit unpleasent & infucing anxious thoughts.

Now, 1.25h later, I'm more relaxed. The Tramadol is propably being metabolized to the non serotonergic ODSMT.

Lieing in the bath tub right now.

I took Tramadol pretty often in the past & the serotonergic effect was never that uncomfortable.

Maybe it's because I took 2-FEA (in a higher dose that produced euphoria / empathogenic effects, so serotonergic) 2 days ago?

Or maybe because my tolerance to opioids is higher than in the past, so the serotonergic effects are stronger compared to the calming opioid action?

I think I'll not use that amount again.

100mg Tramadol + a small dose of ODSMT is way nicer.

shit drug....almost lack of antipain propertiesfelt more like ad drug with minimal opioid effects.been on this three years....even go in toxicology for a week to kick the habbit along with years diazepam use...they give me a ton of bullshit antipsychotics which flies immidietly from the window...took only lyrica-2 caps.-75mg daily and for sleep some z drug....-this put me to sleep instantly and in the morning-awfull metallic taste in the mouth....so as to withdrawl-nothin' man...no withdrawls,no paws..nothin.....well diazepam was way harder-even on 10mg daily dose-no sleep at all...so after a month agony i start diesel again...so shit drug for me,but better than nothin-if u are in pain or withdrawl

Tramadol is a phenomenal opioid if it works with your body chemistry.

I've had tramadol experiences that were up there with my heroin experiences. It just requires low to no tolerance to enjoy it fully.

I'd rather be on tramadol for maintenance than shitty buprenorphine honestly.

Just because an opioid is "stronger" doesn't always mean it's better. Strength is usually just a "potency" thing. Meaning how much of the drug it takes to get an effect.

So codeine may be "stronger" because it takes less than tramadol to get an effect, but this doesn't mean the actual effects felt are going to be necessarily "stronger".

Buprenorphine is "stronger" than heroin, but that doesn't make buprenorphine more enjoyable than heroin (plus bupe has the whole partial agonist thing going on).

I can take tramadol in form of Scudexa pills 75/25 tramadol / deksketoprofen, 20 pills I would take 2 or 3 max with taking half every hour 3x to achieve some effect but it is very similar at the start of Venafaxine and i don't like it very much so I take other pills to slowly get rid of pain and no withdrawals after maybe a day of brain zaps.

I personally don't find tramadol & effexor similar AT ALL.
They are similar in molecular structure, but that doesn't always mean anything.

Everyone's different though I guess.

Venlafaxine (effexor) makes me nauseous, shaky, apathetic, sweaty, insomnia, etc..
I've never dealt with any of that from tramadol.

In fact I tried to get on Effexor to see if it would help my depression the way tramadol did, but I couldn't stand it. Even at a low dose it made me violently sick.
