Tramadol/Carisoprodol Combination (Safe? Doses?)

If it safe to combine these two? If one were to do it, would respiratory depression be the main concern? Can anyone suggest a good dosage? My usual Tramadol dose is 200mg, and I've only tried 350mg of Carisoprodol at any one time - although that didn't affect me much.
Thanks

Could someone with knowledge on this respond to this post?

I'm *guessing* this would be a good combination and pretty safe at the dosages you mentioned.
However, I don't really know.

Would Carisoprodol offer any potentiation of tramadol? I know it can be used to potentiate some other opiates... but tramadol is kind of its own breed.

Looks like if you try an advanced search (title only) on Soma + Tramadol and you should find what you need.

Hydroxyzin (atarax) also potentiate the effect of tramadol, just for info...

ANYWAY what is the good mix : 300mg SOMA + 150 mg TRAMADOL ?

I am not a doctor, but yes these are okay to combine. Try the least amount possible on a completely empty stomach. If it still does not work it is okay to up the tramadol by one more tablet. take one tramadol every four to six hours and wait for them to kick in. Do not exceed 4 tablets of the tramadol in a 24hr period. I believe that this would be the safest route to obtain the best results. Try not to eat any bread or heavy foods if you are not feeling the pills.

Make sure there is no aspirin in them! and do not drink with them. If you take soma be sure you are not doing anything important for the day as they make you forget whole conversations you have had. I would not take more than 2 somas in 1 24 hour period to be safe, good luck.

i know soma is not your average muscle relaxer but i have taken tramadol with a few different muscle relaxers. my favorite would have to be either orphenadrine or robaxin. ive also mixed them with flexeril which i didnt like because flexeril is way too sedating for me.

^ You may know this but in case you don't or anyone reading this doesn't:

Tram and cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril) have a drug interaction that further still reduces the seizure threshold.

Not only that but serotonin sydrom is a big risk also. While cyclo's mechanism of action isn't fully know, one school of thought is that it is structurally related to the first-generation tricyclic antidepressants, with SNRI action. Another theory is that the structure is more closely related to cyproheptadine, an antagonist at histamine H1 receptors, muscarinic acetylcholine receptors, and 5-HT2A serotonin receptors.

Tram is my DOC and I'm always looking to add to it but after reading about this combo I tossed out the 90 cyclo's I had laying around - just so I wouldn't be tempted.

Either way, bad news on this one me thinks. Be careful out there!
