training flatout

lol at the classroom shooter comment...hey bighoot--isn't that your pic in your avatar?

so how come people in the army (royal marines for example)
are strong men?

When there physical training is so hard? Surely if your theory is right they would be in a catabolic state all the time thus being fatigued and hardly 'soldier material'

see this is the point I am trying to make, I think its all about mentality alot of people are basically just pussies, you can still ride a bike the next day after a heavy legs session and you are aching. You just have to go through the pain barrier.

Over time your body will get use to the 'physical abuse' and surely you'd get stronger.

Think of Bruce Lee and his training regime, he didnt even eat a great deal of food. Fair enough he wasnt massive, but in terms of strength he was an animal!
+ I would be very happy with that physique!

^I was in the US Marines. We did a lot of push ups and pull ups, and that kind of thing. But none of us got "big" from that kind of training. We were all physically fit and had relatively low body fat, but none of us looked like BB'ers.

Oh, and I looked up your avatar. Steve Kazmierczak. Fucking hilarious! I should make mine Eric Harris :)

BigHOOT!! Where ya been big dog? Lifting weights 2x daily is going to be overtraining unless you're on your "I wanna go crazy on someone's face steroid regimen"

IMO, you can't overtrain doing body resistance exercises ie pushups, pullups, dips, etc. That's what they have you do in the military so you have an excellent strength to body weight ratio.(real world strength)

hmm interesting, but what if you lift weights 1 x a day and run about 4/5 times a week aslong as your legs arent hurting.
I spose some bodybuilders arent even strong in a sense that its artificial strength, i might just do pressups, pullups etc flatout because at least that way I wont damage my joints with heavy weights init

I take it if youre hurting its an indicator not to train that muscle bcoz then its clear overtraining right?
Coz I did Legs on monday and today they are still sore as hell, I havent gone for a run or bike ride since sunday due to the fact I know my limit.

but what about if i wasnt hurting in my legs today i spose it would be cool 2 go 4 a run without overtraining.

@ bingeman, ye man get him as ur avatar we'll end up with the whole of bluelight with serial killer avatars LOL
But seriously im thinking of joining the royal marines or parachute regiment if all else fails my reason being I just want to go mad on the frontline and be in the action shooting anyone.

Now what was your experience like in the marines? Did you enjoy it? did it make you a better person? whats it like fitting in with society after youve been in there? cheers

Our Marines are different than England's. The Royal Marines, I believe, are an "elite" unit, comparable to US Navy Seals, or US Marine Force Recon. In America, the marines are just a "general" branch of service. I was never in any of the elite units of the USMC. Basically, I just had an office job.

Really? Muscle is muscle... there's no artificial muscle and real muscle. It's all built from amino acids; steroids just make the process more efficient, in that you can achieve the same results as you would in years in a matter of months. It's an absolute myth that BB muscle is somehow fake... if it was possible to take incredibly high dosages of steroids and do nothing, yet grow to a size bigger than Arnold, don't you think someone would have done it by now?

I take it if youre hurting its an indicator not to train that muscle bcoz then its clear overtraining right?

If you still want to get massive with low body fat as you already stated, then no! All of the advice I have given you has been proven thru science. This is as close to fact as you can get. You need to listen to us when we say less is more.

You have to work out what you really want. If you really want to be built well, then you sure as hell won't say you're woried about damaging youre joints at age 22! If you're happy running 4 times a week and going to the gym doing weights then that's more than most people can hope to achieve (ie being happy). But if you just want a fit build (ie Brad Pitt, Fight Club) then stick with what you're doing and maybe it will work for you.

I don't want to look like Arnold or Ronnie Coleman or any of those guys... they are too big IMO. I'm training to put on muscle, and I want to do it in the most efficient manner. And the most efficient manner which has proven itself time and time again is the bodybuilder's method. Period :)

all the best

I just find that I feel fiter n healthier when Ive been doing alot more cardio;

My skin/complexion looks better
I look alot younger
I sleep better
My resting heart rate decreases dramatically, thus making me more relaxed
Overall my anxiety disapears completely

Only benefit I get from lifting weights is the fact that I feel stronger but I also look uglier because I get fatter and because im short anyway (5ft5) I just look like a fat, ugly pig.
Whereas when i'M lean I look like really young/boyish.

i swear whenever im eating loads and lifting loads I always seem to look loads older than when im really lean

lol..you crack me up...

none of us are going to answer your ?'s or grant you feedback unless you post a picture of yourself...i gotta see what u look like no homo

I feel better when i do cardio too...stick to the eliptical/low intensity to prevent catabolism

You look younger? More boyish? Weights make you look like a pig? LMAO Having the right combination of both is ideal (weights/cardio)

I believe that payout might be on a longer duration timescale.."hey i look 5 years younger today because I've been running lately?"

although I agree with the others. Cardio does wonders for basic quality of life IMO

i honestly do believe cardio to be the best thing for mental health.

Also i think eating too much is a bad thing and can actually lower testosterone.

If ballbag size is anything to go on mine are always larger when im eating less calories and healthier food than compared to eating loads of food and trying to bulk up.

hahahaha big hooter, you keep me laughing man.

Do you still shoot yourself in the hand with a bbgun when you get stressted?

ballbags

^thx, whenever I see bighooter's sn somewhere I get a little excited that I'm about see my quote of the day.
