Total Lunar Eclipse on 20/21 Dec (The Winter Solstice!)

our sky was way too overcast to see the moon at all. I was pretty pissed, I stayed up til 2 in excitement only to realize there was no way this was happening

I stayed up anyway and watched live online fullscreen, laying on the bed, lights dimmed, laptop on chest, screen leaning overhead, pretending I was looking up at the sky like a little kid, while a brilliant episode of STNG played out in background, the one where The Galactic Progenitors' secret distributed multi-species genetic message is revealed, and that ends with Romulan commander agreeing to someday try to get along, ending with Picard almost tearing up. So great. So I enjoyed my warm cozy Treky virtual eclipse... I wasnt gonna let a few dumb lame clouds stand in the way of my enjoyment of the special historic evening, haha.

god damn, it was fucking snowing here, so i couldnt see it. it was the only lunar eclipse to be seen on the winter solstice in our life time

the sky (well clouds) were super red though. with the snow it made it look like a sepia picture. so im sure it would have been super cool if i could have seen it..
