Brave and courageous people that actually put their lives on the line over and over again for something greater than themselves. Just saw Five Cameras, the documentary made over several years by a Palestinian with the help of a sympathetic Israeli that is up for an Academy Award tonight. I recommend it to everyone. It's depressing but inspiring and I am thankful it exists.

Today I'm thankful for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc. chances. I've fallen down so many times, but I keep getting the chance to try again and do it right. I guess that's what life is all about.

^spork, you are nothing short of an inspiration for the way you not only pick yourself up but learn a little more from each fall. So many people learn only discouragement from falling multiple times. You have a lot of wisdom in you and the fact that you give it respect is something I really admire. It is safer (in our own scared minds) to grasp onto discouragement and despair than to summon the bravery of trying again and trying new ways.((((())))

Today, I am thankful for a psychiatrist who was willing to build a trusting relationship with me during the past six years, who always shows me compassion and understanding, is never shocked or overwhelmed by my crazy anticts and refusal to stop attempting to self destruct, and who didn't kick me off of my suboxone because I relapsed. I truly hope I can find a way to thank him one day.
ice is off the river.. its getting lighter earlier, and spring is coming...

Today I'm thankful for a new day. I was feeling awful last night, but I woke up feeling much better. Knowing that bad thoughts and feelings are only temporary is something that I'll forever be thankful for.
That two people I've known and a BL that i just met made it out of that long tunnel of opiate acute withdraw.. the friends are sleepn peacefully for the first time in a awhile.. The sun is shining, ha for the second day in a row and the music sounds good... oH and that i'm alive and clean.

thankful to be alive and to be me. thankful to be clean. thankful time to graduating drug court is a matter of weeks now. this year went by rather quickly.
