I have a good friend of mine that was hospitalized last week for kidney and lower back pains. My friend had been abusing ecstasy regularly for years, but recently, in the last few months, almost everyday, up until the point he was hospitalized. I warned him about frequent ecstasy abuse, but you can't force anyone to do anything. Upon going to the hospital, blood tests showed a very high amount of calcium and protein. More tests were run, and he just got diagnosed with acute leukemia. He's only 30. He has no family history of cancer or leukemia, doesn't smoke cigarettes, only marijuana. He drinks alcohol occasionally, but he's not an alcoholic. He eats pretty healthy; he's not overweight. What caused this? Unknown. I want everyone on here to heed this as a warning of what could possibly happen with frequent abuse. I'm not saying that MDMA causes cancer or leukemia, but the subject has very little if any research on this kind of thing, due to it's illegal status. I personally love MDMA, so if there's any bias here it's definately in favor of it, but we must realize that there is unknown long term risks when taking, especially abusing, illegal drugs that have not been studied very well.
