It needs hard pruning. Basically cut it all down to an outward facing bud and remove any dead wood. It will break your heart to do it but all the new fresh leafy growth will grow so fast it will look amazing in a year or 2. Then weed it and feed it.

I would if i could get one, though i probably could find one on ebay. Ive got a large collection of vinyl records that i havent been able to listen to for about 22 years since my old cabinet stack thingie died. I believe you can get usb turntables to convert the vinyl to mp3s. Thats just given me an idea for a rainy day project.
 
What sort of music do you mix Adam? A few of my mates are strictly vinyl guys, its great fun to mix with, cdjs are just so much cheaper in the long run though.

MDB, my brother bought a USB powered turntable to play some tunes on, but it also converts them to mp3 if you wish.

Are USB turntables popular because some music only exists as vinyl?

Otherwise, USB record decks make me queasy. Most of them seem to be cheap plastic turntables with a USB audio interface. If you want to encode vinyl to digital you would do so because of the perceived high quality of vinyl recordings. So you should rip them with a high quality, solid turntable, not a cheap plastic moulding.
That's my rant anyway!

Some people live in some serious style. I'm quite happy with my modest £33,000 house though. It bought me financial freedom very early on in my life through a bit of hard work and saving. I cant be arsed aiming higher, i dont need the pressure of a mega mortage hanging round my neck for the rest of my life. Id rather bum around for a bit, go back to college, and start again work wise, doing something rewarding next time round.

Vinyl has a warmth, cds can be a bit too clear and trebly. I suppose it depends how good your sound system is though.

Well, I suppose I should be punished for giving the impression that there is one single quality of vinyl. There is a range of quality within the vinyl world. Some vinyl is simply, by definition, of a superior quality to digital formats, but humans can't appreciate it owing to their poor hearing ;)

Anyway my question is WHY CRAP USB TURNTABLE?

so that you can convert obscure vinyl records that arent on you tube to mp3 for portable listening. I dont know a single thing about the quality of them. Some must be better than others, they cant all be crap ? I'll have to get back on to the AVFORUM (a great large forum for tv, dvd, sound system enthusiasts)
