those old television shows you used to love

omghi!

The Disney Channel - well, I think that was what it was called. And I don't mean what we get on pay TV now, I mean the one with Mousercise!

It's a knockout - obviously.

Jem and the Holograms - if only to sing along and pretend I was Kimber ;)

Vidiot - oh how I wanted a stupid buzzer that made a crappy sound

Now you see it - old version, not the new.

Seaquest DSV - it was shite, but I thought Jonathon Brandis was cute for a while

Alf - I remember watching it and thinking I could never be a part of the Tanner family, but that Gordon Shumway was a great name.

Step by Step - if only for the rollercoaster in the opening credits

Bewitched - again, duh

I dream of Jeannie - I remember watching this through my old dodgy black and white TV and wondering what colors the show would be in, envisioning grandeur psychedelic visions

Murphy Brown - well, my mum made me watch that. And that stupid "Cybill" show too

He-man and the Masters of the Universe - =D

Rage - it's not really daggy, but it was when they were playing New Kids on the Block and Bros ;)

(consider I'm only 20, so what I consider old-skool probably isn't in your eyes, but it is in mine :p I could think of so many more, but this'll do)

(edit: I forgot to mention Bananaman, Roger Ramjet, Superted and Danger Mouse *slaps forehead*)

Oh my god SLM, I loved that show V. I remember being absolutely fascinated by the fact they ate those rats and they looked so real. I devoted quite a bit of time back then trying to figure out how they made the rats looks so real. They even used to squirm when they were being held upside down before being eaten- gross!!

Does anyone remember actually seeing the original TV shows for spiderman and the hulk? Those shows were on in the early 80's and i only very vaguely remember any details, but they were so cool.

Also, knight rider. What a mad car. i remember telling my teacher back in primary school that when i grew up i would drive a car just like Kitt in that show. How embarrassing hey8)

And the best aussie tacky 80's show has to be prisoner. i remember staying up till like 10.30 to watch it. i thought Bee the top dog was just boss. It did make me scared of going to gaol tho. I really used to feel sorry for the girls when they had to work in that hot stuffy laundry, esp. in summer. Oh and the Freak. She was so ugly.

oh the memories!! they dont make em like they used to hey!

sooty and co rocked!!
danger mouse,

BayCityRolla: I rememebr the name, but I don't think I ever watched it...

yupyup wombles of wimbledon common are we

Full theme song (I loved that show):

Underground, Overground, Wombling Free,
The Wombles of Wimbledon Common are we.
Making good use of the things that we find,
Things that the everyday folks leave behind.

Uncle Bulgaria,
He can remember the days when he wasn't behind The Times,
With his map of the World.
Pick up the papers and take them to Tobermory!

Wombles are organized, work as a team.
Wombles are tidy and Wombles are clean.
Underground, Overground, wombling free,
The Wombles of Wimbledon Common are we!

People don't notice us, they never see,
Under their noses a Womble may be.
We womble by night and we womble by day,
Looking for litter to trundle away.

We're so incredibly, utterly devious
Making the most of everything.
Even bottles and tins.
Pick up the pieces and make them into something new,
Is what we do!

All the wombles songs

Good enough that it's become part of aussie vernacular!

Does anybody have a wav of it that they can send to me?

- ship to shore

- round the twist

- where's wally?

- nelly the elephant

- trapdoor

- i think it's called "bumps in the night" or something..that one with the skeletons...the theme starts off "in the dark dark street, was a dark dark house, in the dark dark house lived......."
