People struggle with my love for vienna sausages.
On a related matter; Logical reasoning
I often get strong reactions when I make comparisons and use parables, or explain my reasoning in an abstract way. People make comments like "That's a completely different thing!" or "That's not the same!", when in essence it really is. Parables are used to convey a message that might not be as easily and/or precisely conveyed in any other way (it might of course have various artistic reasons but that's not the subject here). I know which point I'm trying to make. Thus, people should try and see in which way the parable makes sense. Assuming for the moment it makes sense in some way, if they won't then they might as well stop listening to me altogether.
In short; I feel I encounter people who are bad at abstractions a bit often. I might add that people sometimes think I'm a bit "hard to deal with" or stubborn. It has been confirmed by others however that my mother has a hard time with abstractions, and I think maybe that has made the issue even more "infected". I might for example object to her use of a certain word in a discussion, upon which she is annoyed by that thinking I'm doing it to be an ass, when in actuality I'm objecting because I think there is a difference of interest to the discussion. Me trying to explain all of this usually causes annoyance. Even if several other people being present can see my point she might not.
When I write class notes by hand, I'm a big fan of the diëresis. I've reëducated myself to use it when writing about things like microörganisms, oögenesis, and fasciïtis. It's the most space efficient and fun way to indicate that two adjacent vowels are pronounced separately.
Abstain from ice cream. You wouldn't believe how many people simply refuse to believe that I don't much care for the stuff
Sweet P said:I have the opposite problem. People don't understand why I don't smile very often. They usually ask "what's wrong?".
Nothing's wrong! This is how I normally look!

Oh.My.God. That is AWESOME!! I wasn't even aware of that in the English language! I'm going to start using it![]()

i don't like water in a glass either. like, an actual glass cup. i'm ok with plastic though, but i prefer a bottle over a cup. since i have well water, i can't drink from the faucet, but at my moms i like it straight from the faucet; it definitely tastes better! it must have something to do with aeration.
One thing I do that people don't understand is smell everything. I looove the smell of petrol etc and sometimes when I'm near an escalator or something they smell like petrol and I have to stay back to take a huge whiff! Smell is also one of the most important factors when it comes to liking a guy, and if I'm attracted to someone, I love the smell of their B.O. Like, putting my nose to their armpit love. I know, I'm weird!
