Brimz its very much more plot driven though isnt it.

Like comparing Robert Altman to Micheal Bay .

I love the details in it, the way people develop over a few episodes.
Where in LA BTW,
Santa Monica here :)

Dan, you really need to NSFW your post about Dexter, because I'd be raging if I'd not seen it, and read that.

New Peep Show last night had some classic moments. The finale is on TONIGHT, which is a bit different. Won't complain.

Sorry people x

You're saying The Wire isn't plot driven & is Michael Bay to Southland's Robert Altman? If so, you've lost the plot. I've not seen Southland but The Wire is about as far removed from Michael Bay's shite as I can imagine.

If not, never mind.

Sorry , I actually meant the shield, which I REALLY enjoyed for the first 2 seasons, then just became more implausible to me.
Didnt help that the bloke who played Vic appreared in an early episode of Seinfeld and was hard for me to stop typecasting him

The Wire was ace, before that HBO did a show called The Corner which was also just as good if not better

I bought the corner after watching the entire series of the wire. Its a must see series for anyone that liked the wire.
Am not sure its better than the wire seeing as it was a precursor to the wire filmed around 1999. Made by the same guy who created the wire.
If you like grimey true life portrayals of the whole crackhead scene you'll love this

Oz was fucking great back in the day watched it on late night tv in the early 2000's. Liked shillinger, adebisi, ryan oreilly, beecher great plot twists and feuds. Top program. Have most of it in dvd

I loved 'The Corner' was on Ch.4 a good few years back, was on in the early hours.
I bought the book & I really enjoyed that as well as you got to learn more of certain characters history which showed how they ended up as they were in the times of 'The Corner'.

Just noticed that at 2pm today on BBC1 is 'Olympics 2012: A Golden Games'.
A look back at the achievements of the sportsmen & women and the great moments that captured the imagination.

Not really a recommendation, but I've heard they are making a film version of the game gears of war. It'd better be an animated film else it'll suck balls.

Currently watching Blade 2. Which also, sucks balls.

Has anyone else seen the T.V series 'Bad Ass'?
It's a fictional take on the youtube sensation 'Epic beard man'.

Just watching the 1st episode where he has a fight on the bus.
Complete with amber lamps (the girl with the headphones).
The plot comprises of EBM parading around kicking peoples asses in his 'I am a motherfucker' T-shirt. :D

Horror Fans

For all you horror film fans out there Film 4 are showing The Evil Dead 2 at 22:45 tonight.

That's fucking classic Cornish, thinking that it was just the first episode of a series.
I watched it last week but I was a bit disappointed with it overall.
