I started watching that Bad Ass film last night. Turned it off within half an hour. Utter shite.

On topic - Downloaded Southland. Pretty good so far. American TV is fucking mental though. This is pretty much a solid cop show, same level of violence etc as The Wire but I'm on episode 2 & it's beeping every 5 minutes where they've cut out bad language lol. I hope to fuck the rest of it is uncensored, episode 1 was.

terminator 2 on itv2, what a classic, watched it so many times when i was a kid, just read about the john connor actor,

"Furlong had a long battle with alcoholism and illegal drug addiction.

On 24 April 2001 he was hospitalized for a suspected heroin overdose after being found unconscious in a pool of his own vomit.

On 25 September 2001 he was arrested for two separate incidents involving driving without a license and DUI. After being in and out of rehab, he stated that, "The first year of quitting (drugs) is the hardest thing I've ever had to do, physically and mentally."

In December 2006 he told "People" magazine that he smokes 2-3 packs of cigarettes a day. At the same time he also admitted being addicted to cocaine and heroin from the age of 22 to 26"

look at the fucker now http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KszDyxe9aWM

reminds me of what happened to that homealone kid

Has anyone here watched Fringe? I was quite in to it around the time methoxetamine first hit the market and am considering getting back into it but dunno how much my enjoyment of it was coloured by the mxe, is it as cheesy/ trashy as I fear it might be?

It's ok but that lad who was on the OC Ben Mackenzie . sp , is wooden as fuk & he's one of the main characters

Watched the last few episodes of Breaking Bad Season 5 last night, suffering withdrawal symptoms already. Spent most the Xmas hols glued to it watching 3 or 4 episodes back to back, whole series just consistently top notch throughout. Gotta wait till the summer now for the last 8 episodes. Nooooooo! I need to know what happens NOW. :( Looks like The Corner and Southland are up next to fill in the gap a little. Ta for the hot tips guys.

Meant to post this the other day when it was on but BBC2 documentary available on iPlayer: Neil Armstrong - First Man on the Moon Was a really good documentary, lots of really good background and a good bit of personal insight into a private man who shunned the limelight for most of the last 30 or 40 years. Well worth a watch if you're into that sort of thing.

Sepher mate , go for The Corner b4 Southland it's far superior.

I'm just at the end of the 3 rd season of Southlands & i would sum it up as.

A pretty good cop show . It doesn't break any boundaries & as i've mentioned one of the lead characters is annoying as fuk IMO.
The location filming is quite good especially if you have been to L.A.

Just been reading up on The Corner Brimz, looks right up my street. HBO produced again innit, they do seem to have had a bit of a monopoly on quality TV in recent years. Just going through the HBO back catalogue, think a revisit of Oz is called for while I'm at it and should really get round to downloading Game Of Thrones and Boardwalk Empire from the off. Enjoyed what I've seen of those two. Looks like I'm gonna need a bigger hard drive.

The Corner is an excellent series. Watched it years ago on Ch.4 in the early hours.
The book by David Simon and Ed Burns is an excellent read as you learn a lot more about the characters.
Deffo gonna have to watch it again as its been years since I saw it and it was so good.

was watching Treasure Island on Sky1 plus Robin Hood last night on c4, loved them books as a kid. must have read them 10 times over then day dream of life on an island or in a forest.

Agreed, just your average white boy rookie, and very typecast cos of his former roles, a problem I found with Vic from Shield as he had previously been in Seinfeld

The gay black guy is a great actor though, forget the blokes name

Also the reason why Southland has the swearing bleeped out is because when it was commisioned it was made for a 10pm slot

When Jay Leno renegotiated his contract with NBC he took the 10pm slot and NBC had to move Southland to 9pm

If it had remained at 10pm the swearing would have remained.

Foibles of US television I guess

Exactly, thats the best thing of the show for me

^ just watched chris packham on 2. was really good. that bird with the red eye is beaut. i was getting excited. it thought it was the nature episode we've all been waiting for; the meercats get eaten. i'm already crying tho. i just love nature so much. i've even been offered the chance to go and live in africa but i couldn't leave my dog. (even if i could afford all the factor 10 000 i'd need)
