The What's Good on TV Thread Vs. S'all Good Man

I know for sure. 100%.

Your wisdom truly knows no bounds PTCH. For Mugz' and Spade's benefit pray tell us how you came by this information that has so far eluded sages and scholars alike. Perhaps you did a Google search and lo, by the magic of science it took you to the TV licencing website where, as if inscribed on tablets of stone there appeared the following words, saying:

The law states that you need to be covered by a TV Licence if you watch or record television programmes, on any device, as they're being shown on TV. This includes TVs, computers, mobile phones, games consoles, digital boxes and Blu-ray/DVD/VHS recorders.

You don't need a licence if you don't use any of these devices to watch or record television programmes as they're being shown on TV - for example, if you use your TV only to watch DVDs or play video games, or you only watch ‘catch up’ services like BBC iPlayer or 4oD.

Will wonders never cease? :\

Adolf Hitler seemed an unlikely leader - fuelled by anger, incapable of forming normal human relationships and unwilling to debate political issues. Such was the depth of his hatred that he would become a war criminal arguably without precedent in history.

Yet this strange character was once loved by millions. How was this possible, and what role did Hitler's alleged 'charisma' play in his success?

With the help of testimony from those who lived through those times, film archive - including colour home movies - and specially shot documentary footage, this film reveals how Hitler managed to turn from a nobody in 1913 - someone thought 'peculiar' - into the chancellor and fuehrer of the German people.

Is anyone still watching Misfits? They've replaced the whole cast, except one, slowly. They've done a good job of keeping the comedy going, and picked decent replacement characters. It's not as good as it was, but I still think it's worth watching. Plenty of funny/gory moments.

Peep Show is what I've been looking forward to, for so long. Can't wait until it's back on.

Fringe is nearly over, for good. Quite gutted about that.

American Horror Story is really good again, this season.

Time for Dexter - I'm sure there'll be no disappointment there.

Was anybody just watching the French film "Hidden" on Film4 just now?...
Wahdahfaaah?!?!

(The scene in question)

Approximate Translation said:
"What do you want?"
"Please, come in.... Sit down."
"No! Tell me what this is about!"
"I wanted to say that I had no idea about the other tapes."
"Yes, and?!"
"I wanted you to be here for this...."

Intense. If you've been following the whole film anyway.

There's a new episode of Exposure right now on ITV about Saville, which started 20mins ago. It's an update with new info and a deeper investigation

Exposure Update: The Jimmy Savile Investigation - 10:35pm - 11:45pm ITV1

ITV will rightly garner awards for its exposure of the odious Jimmy Savile. But the channel also deserves credit for resisting any urge to punch the air in triumph at the impact – both journalistic and societal – of its investigation. Tonight Mark Williams-Thomas, whose persistence led to those first shocking revelations seven weeks ago, returns to the story to examine how Savile was able to contaminate the lives of so many for so long.

About this programme
Almost two months on from Exposure's documentary The Other Side of Jimmy Savile, Mark Williams-Thomas tracks the progress of the police investigation into sexual abuse claims made against the former TV and radio star, asking how he achieved his considerable power and influence.

was just looking for this thread and it kept moving

yup ... new peep show starting now on CH4!!!

Well I enjoyed that in ways none of you could imagine, I actually cried, and I sat through the adverts and I'm going to buy all the products and watch Kookyville on afterwards, I even watched a film called Kooky last night in anticipation.

EDIT and yes Jeremy said Methedrone, I think it was deliberate. Fuck it it might have been Mark, can't remember.

while you're in the mood for purchasing ... buy one of these while you're at it ...

The new series is off to an okayish start. Hans and Jez get all the best lines thankfully. The monologues feel and sound a little different. I blame Mitchell's over polished TV presenter voice ... it's change somewhat and is slightly more bland and the delivery is no longer natural for his character. it lacks panic.
