Aye he's the cockney bloke, I saw him on a couple of panel shows and he seemed funny. Never saw his proper stand up show. You like Gary the Tank Commander eh?

Is it the carpet remnant world one? I saw that show live, and was disappointed that the next year at the fringe he decided to do the same show, so didn't go see him at the fringe. It's a good show, just not paying to see it live twice.

I don't know. Either way I've not seen it so I'm looking forward to being able to "purchase" it. Last I saw of him was Comedy Vehicle.

Gary Tank Commander is pretty shit, it's worth watching just for the bits when he answers the phone "Hello, random phone box in the street... naw, it's me, Gary" & the interview bits. The wee Youtube clips are fucking hilarious an all. The actual script is pish tho.

Aye that TV show is diabolical, how it's had more than one series I'll never know but his stand up shows as Gary the Tank Commander and himself (Greg McHugh) are brilliant. He's funny as fuck.
 
He's still hilarious on that show when it's just the one on one interviews with him, where he's totally clueless about whatever he's talking about. That's more like the original one-off episode that was on Channel 4 years ago.

The script is just pretty pish. I still watched it though, funnier than most comedy things that are on. Same with the likes of that Burnistoun or Limmy's Show. Overall they're shit, but they have the odd moment of genius that makes it worth watching all the shit parts.
 
Burnistoun is hit or miss, I've only seen it a few times and one week it'll be hilarious then the next week shite. Never seen Limmys TV show just his stuff online years ago, again was hit and miss.

Gazza the Tank Commander I've watched a few times now and not been impressed, it's annoying because I know he's funny as fuck. Dunno whether it just doesn't translate to a sitcom or someone else does the writing but it doesn't work. I used to see him out in Edinburgh all the time and have a chat with him and he'd always have me in stitches.
 
I'm a bit late with this one but there's a new series of the American cop show 'Southland' on More 4 at 10pm tonight.
 
I've watched the first episode of "Messiah" on Lovefilm Instant, it was a great two part crime drama, Ken Stott as the policeman trying to save the day. Gonna watch the second episode with my dad another time.

I remember watching it with my mum years ago and it was really good.
