"The Killing" on bbc iplayer is pretty good. it's a danish tv series following a murder investigation

Eastbound and Down - i know series one is out there, which might be all there is so far. almost as good as breaking bad.

^ Eastbound and Down is class, there is a second series as well that finished a few months go.

'Lights out' is a good series about a retired boxer trying to make a comeback because of money problems, only 4 or 5 eps out so far but I have been really enjoying it.

Some good stuff on tonight, 3 programmes i will check out

will chuck em on the skybox, as I will be watching Torres score a hatrick against Fulham :)

Geert Wilders: Europe's Most Dangerous Man?Today, 19:00 on BBC Two (England only)
He was once refused entry to Britain. He has called for the Qur'an to be banned and has proposed a tax on wearing headscarves. And he is also the first politician ever to stand trial on charges of 'incitement to hatred'. Geert Wilders, instantly recognisable for his quiff of platinum blond hair, is one of Holland's most controversial and well-known politicians and, some argue, Europe's most dangerous man.

Bafta-winning filmmakers Mags Gavan and Joost van der Valk follow Wilders on his campaign trail during the recent Dutch elections, meet members of the international anti-Islamic network who support him, and find out about a conspiracy theory promoting the belief that Europe is being taken over by Islam.

With anti-Islamic, anti-immigration parties on the rise all over the European continent, why has Wilders, on the brink of real power in the Netherlands, become the poster boy for the far right?

Not usually a panorama fan but ....

WikiLeaks: The Secret StoryToday, 20:30 on BBC One
As the extradition hearing to decide whether WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange must return to Sweden to face a rape allegation reaches its judgement, Panorama talks to his former right hand man who walked out last year.

Assessing what WikiLeaks and its exposing of sensitive official material has achieved, the film examines claims that the organisation famous for leaking government secrets was paranoid about leaks from within and that it has failed to live up to its own ideals on openness.

20:00 DISPATCHES 60 MINSMonday 14 February, Channel 4,
Lessons in Hate and Violence: Dispatches goes undercover to investigate allegations that teachers regularly assault children in some Muslim schools in Britain run by Islamic organisations.

The Elephant: Life after Death was really interesting, last night. They set up a load of cameras in the desert to watch what happens to an elephant that's just died, in terms of what eats it first, etc. Some of it was a bit gory, but fascinating. It said that female hyenas have a penis, that they both have sex, and give birth through! Crazy.

that was pretty rank like. thank fuck we'd just finished our tea. :D

i liked the bit where the hyena had his whole head up the elephant's arse, and it exploded onto its face. ;)

there was something a bit weird about the guy who kept getting up close to the elephant, he seemed to enjoy it a bit too much.

Started watching lights out a few days ago myself, burnt through all the episodes in 1 night, pretty good show.

^ All sounds good. Tonight's viewing for me will consist of Dexter on the laptop (almost done with season 5)

I can't wait for series 6, series 4 spoiler:

How sad was it when Trinity killed Rita? I really felt sorry for him. John Lithgow made a wonderful baddie.

Been enjoying Mad Men and Breaking Bad, I think series 4 of Breaking Bad is due soon. According to IMDB Breaking Bad's previous runs began in late March..:)

I'm really digging "Friday Night Dinner" Saw last weeks last night watched tonights just now.

Funny as fuck. I actually found this weeks to be a bit funnier than the inbetweeners.

Worth a watch IMO

Human Planet was amazing. BBC at its finest.
as always. :)

this has been the only quality TV i've watched in the past fortnight. we had fucking football on every night from saturday to wednesday. i didn't *have* to watch it I suppose, i could have opted not to smoke all night instead. not an option. :p

so it was a welcome relief when Human Planet came on. great stuff as usual, it's been an amazing series. god bless the BBC and the unique way it's funded. <3 ;)
