Stir Crazy's on C5 at 10:45pm. :)

Ross Kemp: Extreme Worlds - Juarez, Mexico

I know there is what's on TV thread but I feel this merits one of it's own. I am sure many of you will slate Ross Kemp for whatever reasons. Personally I was left unimpressed by his Somalia/Nigeria series. However the last one of Extreme Worlds in Congo I thought was a very good and worthwhile programme. This will be worth tuning in IMO. Sky 1 right now :) ok bitches? ;)

sounds decent, will need to download as I ditched all my TV services. Just have a PC plugged into the plasma now innit -- iplayer all the way :)

I love Ross Kemps shows, watched all the gang ones and am loving the new Extreme World series, seen the first two on the Heroin epidemic in Chicago and the war in Congo.
Slate him all you like but you have to admit he has got balls of steel.
Haven't got Sky so am waiting for the Mexico one to show up on youtube.
From what I've seen and read Cuidad Juarez is that city ruled by cartels on the Mexican border? Heard it is like hell on Earth, bodies hanging from bridges, beheadings, bombings everything. I wouldn't step in Mexico right now let alone that place.

codshit for future reference it is customary to recommend a tv program before it starts

just watched the wonders of the universe with the wonderful brian cox. was amazing. been waiting for the series to start for a long time. can't wait for next weeks.

Shit yes! ;) Loved Wonders of the Solar System and this series isn't going to disappoint :) Seeing someone present with that much passion for what he does and what he knows about makes you just as excited as he is ^_^

I tells you - If I were a ladyfolk, I'd have Brian's babies quite happily =D

Oh - Friday Night Dinner - I wasn't sure it was going to be any good but was thoroughly impressed :)

I don't get the Brian Cox thing. For one, he looks a little like one of the Riddlers from kids TV back in the day.

Secondly, watch his face. He does this demi-grimace thing which is almost undetectable at first, but once you point it out to somebody they can't help seeing it.

Maybe it's to do with the fact he talks about science, in which case I can kind of empathise, having always quite liked that nice Dr. Alice Roberts. One fundamental difference though; if Alice Roberts had a less glamorous job she'd still be cute. If Brian Cox was a binman I don't think he'd have quite the same appeal somehow...

He was as into rubbish collecting as he is into his science, I think I'd well be into rubbish collecting =D
I've not noticed this "Demi-grimace" but no doubt I will now, cheers Sam yuh bar-steward :P

Seinfeld
Curb Your Enthusiasm
King Of Queens
Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia
Parks And Recreations (It is only up to season 3 at the minute but its hilarious)
The Office (not everyone's cup of tea but I love it, UK version is much better tho)

cheers mate, gunna rinse king of queens, not a huge fan of seinfeld as of yet,but im sure ill get to it, but yea cheers dude, and yea US office is really fucking good, theyve really upped the game the last few eps

^The Middle is good for a bit of light-hearted comedy. It's got the janitor from Scrubs in it. It's not hilarious, but it doesn't need to be.

Been enjoying Ross Kemp's new stuff. Definitely worth a watch. Agreed, the guy has balls of steel. I'm surprised he hasn't been killed, yet.

How can you recommend something you've not seen???

The only time I ever recommend anything in this thread before it starts is if I've previously seen it or it's obviously gonna be good. A Ross Kemp effort doesn't fall into that obviously gonna be good category. These days with iPlayer & shit I don't think it matters if you recommend the program after it's started. Get with the times Davie.

I watched the first ep of Wonders of the Universe last night. Like his other series it's wonderful viewing.

Like ColtDan my mind is just blown away when I start thinking about the universe. What the fuck is it? Why is it there?! How can it be so fucking big? My brain just begins melting. :)
