The What's Good on TV Thread ver. piracy ftw

I've watched all 3 seasons [it's finished now I think, not 100% sure tho].

It's in short 30min episodes, so good filler. I liked it. funny stuff and some entertaining and kooky situations ... probably appeals to women more than guys, so your wife will prob like it, but it's not 'sex in the city' type of girly [I didn't watch SITC, hated it]. the resident male @ chez Marmz liked it as much as me.

premise is basically about a newly divorced college basketball coach who needs extra cash, and accidentally falls into being a gigolo to make money, with a hapless neurotic female as his pimp & sidekick.

lots of fucking and nakedness but not 'porn'. and there's one particularly hawt scene with a pregnant woman in a bath.

worth watching

I've got a few new series to recommend if anyone's in need of new telly, since there's not much on atm and a few series have taken a break. will post some links in a bit. not totally sterling but worth checking out
 
Please do, although I will be doing (& trusting) my own research thoroughly before getting baws deep into any of your recommendations. Veronica Mars was rotten & American Horror Story pretended to be good for a minute so you're on a losing streak at the moment.

I'm stuck for shit to watch, prefer TV series to films right now as I don't know whether I want half an hours entertainment or 5 hours entertainment. Depends how easily I can get to sleep, which isn't very easy at the moment & considering I've slept all fucking day today it's gonna be a cunt tonight.

I've been re-watching The Boondocks but trying to ration it as much as possible, it's perfect for a guaranteed 25 minutes of good entertainment regardless of what mood I'm in. Introduced my mate to it a couple of weeks ago, he reckons it's the funniest thing he's ever seen. Uncle Ruckus, Riley & A Pimp Named Slickback are some of the greatest cartoon characters ever created imo.

Desperate for something good, watching the new series of justified but there is only 3 eps of it out so far. Getting excited for the new game of thrones series, cant fucking wait.

Been so desperate for tv shows I watched all 5 seasons of celebrity rehab in a few weeks haha, I hate stuff like that but just got addicted to it, it was quite entertaining watching people going beserk with each other desperate for one last shot at fame coming off opiates and benzos.

On Nat Geo now, Drugs Inc. - Ecstasy. Obviously on at ten, on plus one. I'm not watching it tonight, as I'm recording it, but others on here have said it's good.
 
^Just seen the advert, and it showed people passed out and didn't sound very positive. It's also an annoying group of American people, that are taking it, and being filmed.

Yeah i agree i was gonna give up on it but it has got better n better n know is really good .
Their getting in some deep shizzle with the Cartels n the rugs.

Just finished season 1 of homeland which I found really good. Can't wait for game of thrones season 2 as well, starts in april. Has anyone watched boardwalk empire? Watched the first 2 seasons of that recently nd found it very very good.
 
It is a bit lord of the ringish but much darker and violent with some great unexpected twists, if you like that kind of thing you should like it :)
