Aye, four episodes in the first series then
six each in the following two.
Oh right, wasn't aware there was more series to come as not seen them advertised yet. Will watch them though to see what else happens.
'Top Boy' is back on tmrw night at 9pm on CH.4, will certainly be watching that again as thought it was a pretty good show.
Although it is only 4 episodes long this series, I wish they would make more episodes per series as it is over too soon otherwise.

I don't know when the next two series are due to be on the telly over here mate. Might be a while yet, if at all. I've got them downloaded.

Top Boy was excellent. Well looking forward to the new one.

It's Breaking Bad time for me %)

Staceeeeey been on again, Thailands Drug Craze

Stacey Dooley investigates the yaba drug craze sweeping through Thailand, visiting a ward full of addicts, joining patrols near the Burmese border and drug raids on Bangkok bars.

I tuned it just as she was fighting back the tears, I bet she adopted one.

ended in a bit of a weird place

Yes it seemed a bit of an abrupt point to stop. It was the usual cliffhanger, but there wasn't quite the usual tension.

But if this is all we have to complain about, it says a lot.

I don't find it slow at all. there is stuff going on even when there isn't.

Breaking Bad was, once again, excellent. This week's Dexter was good, as well. It seems to be picking up speed, for the finale. Looks like I'll be needing something else to watch, when these two end...

Agreed, it was definitely abrupt. Has anyone been watching Talking Bad? They go over the new episodes and interview the actors and stuff, it's really cool.

The abruptness was class.
NSFW:
Hank's just about to rock in and start on Jesse then... black screen and "NOOOOOOOO! I NEED MORE!!!!!!!"

Definitely.

Pagey - I've only just recently heard of Talking Bad. Going to download some just now. Is it one episode for every episode of BB?

I know everyone is doing backflips over Breaking Nad. I am too but I hope Low Winter Sun doesn't get overlooked because of it. Watched the first two episodes and it's pretty good. Well worth it.

@PTCH try and check it out if you can mate I think you'll get on with it and will recognise a few familiar faces. ;)

Lexx series 2 and 3 for sci-fi geeks. Re-watched recently...still love it :)

Just finished watching Firefly. They only had one season and a film after but it's actually well good. The characters are defined and seem real with their own hopes and goals. There's humor and a whole lot of action. Really enjoyed it actually. It's a good few years old now (2002–2003) but the stories are good and there's some raw stuff.. Not PC at all..some of the killings etc. I loved it anyways

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0303461/ 9.1 on IMDB

"Five hundred years in the future, a renegade crew aboard a small spacecraft tries to survive as they travel the unknown parts of the galaxy and evade warring factions as well as authority agents out to get them."

Review I agree with:

This show blew me away. The beauty of the production, the detail in the sets, the well written characters, the intelligent stories and concepts, the fun, the drama, and the excitement all amazed me. I don't usually spend time watching TV, but I honestly hated having to wait until the next show! :)

The special effects are seamlessly integrated and beautifully detailed. The manner in which the show was presented - the hand-held cameras, the use of zooms, and the occasional off-focus effect - was very intriguing, giving it a look of a show that was real and gritty, something that really caught your attention but didn't distract you from what was being presented. It made you feel like you were really there, like it was believable.

While there was a Western attitude and flavor to some of the episodes, I always felt that it was more about the lack of authority, the fact that people were just dropped out on these planets without the kinds of support that you would expect. It's presented very well and makes sense to me, although I've heard others take a different approach to it.

If you have the opportunity to get the DVDs, I would highly suggest it. It is well worth the money!

irefly was easily the best sci fi show Fox developed aside from the X-Files. It had science fiction staples spaceships, laser pistols, and tech, but also a nice retro quality of frontier western speech, horses, and guns. The humor alone made this one of the best shows on television. The Joss Whedon ability to spin a familiar plot convention/line in a surprising direction and the top notch cast of talented and charismatic actors help make this cancelled science fiction Fox casualty a cult favorite and upcoming movie. While the discussion about why it was cancelled and who was to blame is up for debate, no one can argue 200,000 in DVD secondary market sales to date. Clearly, Firefly was a show that deserved a chance to shine and with it's incarnation next year as a film, will allow this phoenix to rise again.

Note reviews are from 2003/2004...

Is breaking bad worth watching?

I have little or no patience for any TV Shows mind.

I only watch Friday Night Lights cos its sport based and from Sep 5th I wont watch any tv drama cos the NFL season will start

I tried watching Homeland and I gave up after 2 episodes, so how good is BB , sell it to me ( and no I dont give a toss aboutthe fact that its about drugs)

The Business with Danny Dyer is on tonight at 10pm on Five*.Worth a watch if you haven't already seen it.
