The Infidel is on BBC2 tonight, forget what time

Not brilliant by any means, but pretty entertaining. One of the better UK comedies in recent years & good performances by Omid whatshisname and the smart alec from The West Wing

There is an interesting looking 2 part documentary starting on ITV1 on Monday 18th February.
It's title is 'Her Majesty's Prison: Aylesbury. It is filmed over 5 months in a young offenders institution.

Caned Netflix today
"Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia" is brilliant..all the way upto mid season 2 now

Tigre V Boca Juniors in a bit . :)

Charlie on Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia cracks me up, what a legend

Every person is so well written
On season 2 now, Danny D V has just made an entrance as part owner of the bar

Show gets better with each episode

Bit of a shame I saw " Charlie" in Horrible Bosses before I saw him in this.
He is way better in this

Want to watch Wonders of Life on bbc2 but not sure I can cope with Marmz boyfriend and his stupid voice and stupid fase.

I know Marmz is always on her blob and whatnot, but surely she cant want to bone the mighty(ONLY) Brian Cox?

He was fucking good in "The Veteran" ill give him that

:)

Lol she can and does, much to our disbelief :D
erm, I'm kinda busy atm, but just felt the need to interject

* cough *

1. I think Liberal Guru just reffed a different Brian Cox, but actually, I'd quite 'appily bone him because he's a fucking lush actor who I love too ...

but more importantly ....

2. Guess who Attenborough has off-fucking-ficially handed his baton over to, for when he carks (sp?) it?

SAY NO MORE ...

*gone* xOxOx

That was the whole point

You would do him as well, just admit it. :)

Nowt wrong with distinguished old fuckers with money to burn
He is basically a Scottish Jack Nicholson

Aye, fat Mac is hilarious.

To whoever mentioned Fringe - It starts good, but by the end it is so shite that I have the final two episodes downloaded (like, last 2 ever, finally conclude 5 seasons type shit) & can't even be arsed to watch them. I really don't care what happens now, even after putting so many hours into getting to this point.

Currently starring inna BBC4 "comedy" - Bob Servant Independant. Four episodes in and I still can't decide if it's bad enough to be good or just plain bad. Mostly the latter but been giving it a chance cos Brian Cox is in it.

Know it's been mentioned before but watched The Corner t'other day. Same bloke who wrote The Wire so worth a watch on the strength of that really. Was good but was never really gonna stand up to The Wire really. Well worth a watch if you haven't seen it though. Nice 'n' compact at only six episodes and nice to see the actual people whose story is told being asked what they thought of how their story was told at the end. Added a bit of credibility but some aspects of the series were a bit clumsy and heavy-handed so am guessing it wasn't entirely faithful to the actual events as they really happened. Definitely a good 'un even if not his best work. Did find myself being drawn in to the characters and their lives despite a few clunky scenes now and then.

After seeing it given such high praise here and elsewhere I acquired and started watching Game of Thrones last night. Only a coupla episodes in but seems decent enough. Don't really see what all the fuss is about yet though. Just bogstandard fantasy stuff with added swearing, gore and tits as far as I can tell. Not that that's a Bad Thing, mind. Hopefully will get better as it goes. So far it's perfectly watchable but suffers from all the problems almost all fantasy stuff suffers from - appalling cliche-ridden stereotypical characters, irritatingly po-faced leaden dialogue and plotting by numbers. Do have a bit of a soft spot for fanatasy stuffs though so doesn't overly bother me so much as be a bit disappointing given the rave reviews it seems to get everywhere. Have only just started on it though so hopefully will get better as it goes.

With Teh Corner u have to read the Book Shammy mate . Trust me you get about another 40% out of it .

Not 2 say that the HBO production is anything but excellent

Totally agree with what Brimz has said, the book is fantastic.Well worth reading.

Also been enjoying Invader Zim (linky to first episode - dunno if they're all on there but looks like they probably are) as recommended by Marmz. Is tittersome indeed. Reminds me greatly (other than of Johnny The Homicidal Maniac, of course) of Ren & Stimpy which can never be a Bad Thing.

Also, the Pilot Episode which doesn't seem to be on the DVD and has the bloke from Futurama doing the voice instead of whoever does it in the series.
