And lulz @ Banshee. My sis convinced me to watch it, I was somewhat disappointed. fucktons of sex and violence, but kinda off the wall on plausibility and a bit mental. The 2nd to last ep had something like a 10 minute drawn out fight scene with the Russian chick in it .. 'kin 'ell it went on forever.

I'll probably give the 2nd series a whirl still tho :o

Just gonna watch the latest episode of Hannibal. Anyone watching it? Lovin' it so far.

Yeah Banshee caught my attention as well not as good as Desperate Housewives ,obviously but i'll give it a few more episodes.

AS 4 Hannibal , keep falling asleep ( gouching out ) when i try n watch it . Maybe this is a message or maybe it's just i'm always wrecked when i try n watch it . Whatever still not got it yet i give it 1 more go if i gouch out or don't feel it then i'll bouy it off.

I think Desperate Housewives has inspired a new clone ... Devious Maids ... oh, and there's Mistresses ... neither are my thing but both are running off the back the succeess of your DH's I recon.


For anyone watching The Fall, did you like the ending?

I thought it was great, and totally different to the usual mainstream resolution of similar shows.

Original, and really well written series all round. Gets an 8/10 from me.
 
I loved the whole 5 episodes of The Fall. The ending was the only thing i was unsure about.

It wasnt 100 % certain that he would be caught, as he'd taken flight to some unknown destination. What a clever manipulative fucker wasnt he with all his lying his way out of trouble, especially to his wife

moving around is probably why any serial offender manages to escape being caught/convicted. He was lucky enough to have had a set of personal circumstances to manipulate conveniently, that provided a totally plausible reason to his wife and justify moving on
 
Very good acting all round. It was one of those that you 'loose yourself' in, as it's so good.

I think it's the best series i've seen since The Wire. (havent really watched many since that) Although that short ITV series with Dominic West as Fred West was also pretty fuckin good.
 
Need to watch Mad Dogs from season 1, completely missed the second season but the new one seems brilliant already. I did think the first one was decent, not amazing but good, but this new one seems like it must have picked up since I left off. Do Sky have anything like 4OD?

New Russel Howard's Good News on just now on BBC3, the last few have been hilarious, he's also got much better lately.
 
I'm a huge fan of the BBC's Horizon series, and the latest one which was on last night is worth a watch, if you like cats. They put GPS and cameras on 50 cats in a village and track them for a week. Pretty cool!

In TV news, Prisoner Cell Block H is being remade, and will be set in current times. Steamed up to the max apparently. Ch5 are showing it.
 
Decided to give Game of Thrones a go so I feel in touch with popular culture.. At what point am I supposed to be gripped?

Have watched the first 3 episodes and I'm still a bit 'meh' about the whole thing. And where's all the sex? Even Grey's Anatomy has way more explicit sex scenes..

Yes mate. I thought they could have ended it an episode early and it would have wrapped up nicely but typical Wire they have so much content. It was just great. Does anyone know if Homicide is worthwhile? As said previously I'm starting Genreation Kill then I'll move on to Treme just wondered if it was worth going backwards?
 
I caught up with the first episode of The Returned last night. Pretty damn good isn't it. It's got me hooked.

Horizon - Little Cat Diaries

Same thing only it takes four cats from the first episode and follows them in a bit more detail. Turns out one of 'em is actually hermaphrodite cat. I know really, really want an hermaphroditic cat :!
 
Just watched the second episode of the new Iain Stewart series Rise of the Continents (first two episodes (Africa & Australia) on iPlayer now). Is good stuff. Learnt a few things too - I had no idea how the continents originally formed nor what the fundamental building blocks were. Is also pretty kewl to see those exotic names that intoxicated my youthful mind with their otherness - Pangea, Gondwana and so forth - being brought to life. Fascinating stuff so it is :)
