Thermals are cozy you can buy nice Swedish ones in H & M, if you were serious..

Fleece lined ladies tights from Primark under your thermals, topped with fleece jammies and you're toasty as a roasty :D Tried n' test, alas nae that sexy ;)
 
It's not about how you look but how you smell when camping off season in Scotland. As in how many midges you repel. Summer is off season!

Gonna be zero during the night so all the wee add ons make the difference for staying comfortable and getting some kip in your igloo.
Saturday morning has to be clear skies and sun so should get a nice mist coming off the loch as the temperature rises.

Excellent purchase and great prices. I like the bunnet thing. Sometimes I wear my fleece hat in winter, but my hairs just about long enough to cover my neck.

You should see our bed set up - 5 star hotels don't have a look in this things cosy n' plush and off the ground. Just call me Mrs Polar Fleece everything ;)

We have a 4 man Kampa Frinton Classic - polycotton, her names Fudge =D I love that tent. Jealous you're heading out - think we will in the next few weeks too. (looks at Man longingly...)

That is a geographical matter. If you walk around playing that up in certain areas of Glasgow, you'll be welcomed with open arms. :D

Absolutely! I'm lucky enough to have hunners of gear from my working travels in hot and cold shitholes, and from motorbiking, and from working offshore, that I've hardly needed to buy anything more for camping.

I wear a thermal fireproof balaclava in bed while camping. Swedish thermal top & long johns I picked up in Siberia. Earplugs to attenuate the Snuffleupagus. Furry flapped hat for visits to the toilet.

When everyone else looks ridiculous (but cosy), nobody cares. Apart from certain types of caravanners. ;)

Aye, but not the areas you're thinking of. It's a tin whistle in D. An Orangeman would not use that.

They use flutes, and fifes to a lesser extent.

We used to hear them practice from our last house, and sometimes here too. Still haven't actually seen a March in person though.

It's an AMG replica ? still nice tho and proper fast! It's 3.2 V6. I actually fancy a CL55 supercharged V8 AMG or CL600 6.0 twin turbo V12!
I just love big mercedes, the power and the luxury haha
