I bought:

10 wee shell buttons each one hand painted with a birds of Britain
A broccoli - well he did
A new 2015 financial ledger and household planner
and 3 new pishminas - in turquoise. a green and lemon. I collect pishminas :D
 
I got this the other night while I was at an auction. He was charming so I had to get him.

I am going to a metal festival and needed a black version of my family tartan.

It will be hot, dusty 35deg so free and breezy will suit my style for the day.

I had my jeans on, I was merely having a cheeky spliff. Which I shouldn't be having. I think the tobacco's nicer than the weed!

It may please you to know that, in leaning down to set my laptop to take the picture, I ripped a maffis hole in the front of my jeans :D

Plus a few others that have since such as Smashing Pumpkins, Steel Panther and others I haven't bothered to check. More 90's flavoured heavy rock than screaming metal but if I plan on tripping it'll be enough.
 
Wow, that's a pretty good lineup. Faith No More, Soundgarden, Smashing Pumpkins (and OTW in a kilt).. :O

^Sweet setup. I just have the 1210s for now but I'm always tempted to get some CDJs as well. What mixer do you use? I have a crumbling old Behringer DJX700 which has served me well but bits are falling off of it, so I ought to replace that first before I consider more decks.

My new thing today is this monitor, to replace my 2x 1080p 24" iiama prolites.

Double the resolution and only one screen to look at, bit more efficient on the desk too (although it looks huge!). Obviously the pixel density is way higher which is going to take some getting use to, but I've been fairly well prepared by just using my phone and 10" MS Surface tablet which are both 1080p and obviously way higher than the 24" panels I've been using. Whether I'll miss being able to dump my browser over to a second screen whilst I have work on the first one remains to be seen.

Yeah it's cost a lot (particularly as I upgraded my GPU to a GTX 980 to drive it heh), but I've not worked for 12 months and I needed some excitement on the hardware front to persuade me to sit in front of a computer again. Because I feel fucking rusty. Need some personal project ideas for something I can work on at home for a few weeks before I even attempt to head back to the studio to do some work.

Did you forget to buy Crack though? Or are you drinking neat vodka and the coke is cocaine and you're going to wash some crack up yourself:)
