🗣️ General Discussion 🗣️ The Weather Thread

I was a Sizzler yesterday no rain. I went out to the Forks to sober up. I got too high

yesterday. Lol. Northern sphere Solstice style.☀️ It's a 'hard' tilt. 🤪 Hang on.

And they're out there. Watch me get 🎣. It's still a dreadful disgusting Summer up here.

I didn't have any luck with Winter this year either. Have a good day.

Before those Sparrows start dropping of the roof by dehydration placed a bowl out. They found it ASAP. They are indulging in turns. Feel like i did my good deed for today royally
I fill several long and deep planter style pots with clean tap water, for watering my outdoor plants in the hot, dry weather.

I leave them 24 hours for the chlorine and other chemicals to evaporate off.

It was nice to see a magpie find the planters the other day, it gave out an excited/happy rattle as it spotted them. At least I assume it was happy and excited. It made more rattles after a taste test, another one after a full drink.

And then many rattles as it dunked itself right in there for a good old splash about. It seemed to be enjoying it a lot from all the rattling noises it was making.

I've noticed them make that noise before, when they've spotted water in my yard during hot, dry spells. I assume it's their happy noise.

But they probably make just the same noise, as far as I can tell anyway, when they are alarmed or spooked or in distress.

Seeing as it seems that pretty much the only noise wild magpies can typically make is the famous British magpie rattle, although I gather that some are amazing mimics, and can make many different sounds. :roll eyes:
