🗣️ General Discussion 🗣️ The Weather Thread

One more thing guess which country invented modern air conditioning? I will give you a hint, Willis Haviland Carrier.

The next day or two is gonna be rough
Different day, same temp.

And not even allowed to grow Pot, while this are perfect conditions for the final phase of Cannabis. Bits of water, lots of sun and heat.
What a waste.

Freedom and amandments are these meaningful at least, as I remember our law contains lot of good stuff. Like freedom to put in your body what you choose. Harm reduction, our gouvernement at this moment is being prosecuted for exposing its citizens to toxic substances above UN limits. Basickly for breaking an UN agreement. Hope they loose, these gouvernement pigs.

Regarding Cannabis the law doesnt offer any clarity about growing your own Weed, which would be helpful, now its different depending on where you live.
So imo politics only seem to make things complicated. But that fact seems to just be ignored or something.

That is ridiculous, I live in Michigan. Anyone 21 years or older can grow 12 plants, more if they get a license.
You have to make sure people can't see them, from public areas. So outside or indoors as long as they are not in public view.

I get coupons for free pot and there are billboards advertising Marijuana dispensaries. You can buy 2 and half ounces(70 grams) for medical or recreational, per day

It's great because there is a lot of competition. Many do or did give you a free joint or edible on your first visit and your birthday. Also the coupons are good and there is countless places that offer free delivery if you spend 50 dollars or more, basically €46.78 Euros at today's exchange rate.

Also, there is so much competition, that you can great deals.
Then there is the fact that many places look like candy stores; there are a ridiculous amount of edibles.
Also, you can get everything from shake to really expensive high grade weed and a lot in between. Also growing supply stores are plentiful, and hydroponics supplies

Detroit, I live in a nice safe middle class suburb, besides all that the city has decriminalized shrooms, not those worthless Amanita Muscaria, those are everywhere. But real psilocybin mushrooms.

I have never used, but don't they sell them in The Netherlands? Anyways there is no ambiguity about legally growing weed here. Just keep it hidden and you are legally OK. Just 12 plants unless you are a commercial pot grower or edible manufacturer and have a license.

The shrooms being decriminalized is new. Some dispensaries in Detroit sell them. They may become completely legal state wide.

I don't want to get in trouble so, I am not sure if I can write about prices, even though weed is legal where I live. But the prices are good and only 6% sales tax.

Also some places have a punch card, that after a certain number of visits; free weed.

^The UK is pretty backward in that regard. The irony is we grow loads of weed, and then export most of it because the government is still inexplicably maintaining that it holds no medical value.

Actually I just googled it. The UK has been the largest exporter of medical cannabis globally since 2016. Dunno whether to laugh or cry.

Ho hum.

Warm today innit?

Edit: now it's raining.

If went to the dispensaries here and went back home, you would cry; if you like weed.

I visited Washington state once. I cried upon arrival and when leaving.
The rain arrived overhere today, so you blew it the right direction, thanks.

So I am not in the worst just a tight spot (Liberal and Christian politics). Are rightwing wing Liberal or Conservative. Think I misinterpreted the translation.
@Jnowhere you went home and back, sounds like a 30 minute thing.

Jealous, serieus nearest tolerated dispensary is an 1 1/2 hour busdrive total.
Lucky the public transport seems adapted to go there as you litteraly step in drive,
get your Weed. And in no time, 🙏 JAH, the same bus back comes.

Good plan for a rainy day, getting a tasty strain.

Actually I can drive there in minutes. Detroit metro area has well over 4 million people and the worst public transportation system in the developed world. There is only a few busses that run limited hours to limited places.

This is the motor city🤣, or it was. Long history but basically the city council has been corrupt for decades if not a century or more and the suburbs are ok, but the city is dying and the suburbs are OK but stagnate.

I really wish we has good public transportation, but the short sightedness of the original civil engineers or whoever designed this to be a driving city. We had 1.8 million people in 1950's and this was one of the most prosperous in the country.

Now 700,000 or less, but the suburbs have taken the " black flight as it is called after the white and every other race also fled. This area is racial very diverse do to Henry Ford's generous pay. People from the middle east even came to this area. No racial issues like some might expect. At least not like the riots of the 60's that really began to destroy the city, even though it was in decline because of a corrupt city council and in turn lousy police.

the are is also poorly designed and much of Detroit is turning back to nature. If it were legal, you could hunt deer, where there were once houses.

Windy today! It kept me up last night. I won't complain too much though because It's actually a beautiful day in middle England; warm dry and breezy. I might grab a 6 pack of something and chill in the garden with some melodies a book and my hash pipe
What is hash like? Also is smoked like weed from a bowl( Marijuana pipe, not a bong though)

It is the spice to the cannabis flower's herb. Back when I was a wee lad we'd crumble it up mix it with tobacco and roll it into a spliff but these days I just break off larger chunks and smoke it in a regular budbomb pipe. The THC content tends to be higher than flower but it can vary enormously depending how and from what it was made.

Edit: back from the shops with cider and tizer. What a beautiful day to be alive.

What, no 40's of malt liquor?lol
What is tizer?

"THe GReaT BRiTiSH POP!"

Quoting from the label.
I love soda pop.( I am now allergic to alcohol) I have pancreas issues and drink a lot soda pop to get calories,( trouble eating)
I have never seen or heard of it. Is it made with real sugar? Also what flavor.
I might look for it at one of the local, really expensive gourmet, mini grocery stores.

Bloody hell. Didn't know Tizer was still going. But I don't tend to drink fizzy pop other than carbonated caffeine drinks these days.

Incidentally, I read somewhere the other day that Tab was making a comeback...

Yeah, most are unless it's a diet version. I remember hearing that most soft drinks in the US use high fructose corn syrup instead of sugar because there's a government subsidiary or something? It does taste different, whether it's Coke Fanta Mountain Dew or whatever the American and European versions are totally different drinks.

Tizer is like, eh, Tizer. It tastes red! Ostensibly fruit flavoured but I don't really know.

I remember it sponsoring CDUK in the early 2000s and hated seeing the creepy guy having it poured into his head every Saturday morning. Fortunately they've long since changed the logo.

That one may be before my time but I was very much here for the great mountain dew renaissance. I got hooked on that stuff when I 16 visiting the states and had to wait years for it to be (re)released in the UK. There was 1 shop in my town which sold it for £1.20 a can (circa 2006 so expensive) and the label was always in Arabic 😅

There really isn't that much difference in taste. I Don 't drink diet. I need the calories, because I can't eat enough, because I have pancreas issues and chirross of the liver.
I was curious because I like trying new( that I have never had) soft drinks or soda pop, but not diet soft drinks. No calories, no good( to me)

Tab sucks, I remember back when I was real young in the late 1970's and early 1980's my mom would drink that shit, yuck.

Mountain dew used to be really cheap here, but soon after Joe Biden was elected soft drink prices increased 50% along with huge increase in food prices.
