Television The Walking Dead

argh ive been slacking, should of been keeping up with this! missed the new episodes so far

in the comic, Rick becomes the group's brutal leader and he has one policy: if you KILL, then you ARE KILLED. executed. once Rick finds out what Shane has done, he will finally and truly start making that (otherwise normal and usual) ascension into being a well-rounded, well-produced main character!
you little turd, did you just give something away?? :D

hoping this season takes off...i am being patient. it is still better than everything else on the telly right now.

it seemed like it took him awhile to get the pack off too. i guess it was just for future episodes and they will make him lose his morals in a new world

right decision? that's horrible, mang! you gotta take your chances running instead of murdering a man in cold-blood for zombie chow, if you want to not stray from moral ambiguity!

but back-and-forth banters like this are why I am obsessed with the Walking Dead so much, more so the comic book obviously. because the main, core aspects deal with human drama and the gray instead of the black and white of ethics + morals

that's why the kid had to live. what the real Rick would have said is that Carl and kids like him MUST live, because they are the future. and they must be taught the RIGHT way, not the WRONG way

Oh, definitely a horrible thing to do but you have to consider that the morality we have now goes out the window in a zombie apocalypse.
There was a good chance the walkers would have caught up with Otis anyways. Then the respirator parts would be lost.
Plus they'd probably catch Shane too with his bad leg. He needed one of them to slow down the walkers so he could get the equipment back to help save Carl.
If Otis hadn't shot Carl, they'd never have had to go to the school in the first place. If I was in the same position, I'd have shot Otis too. I'd just feel like shit about it.

fear not, I didn't. in the comics, Shane only made it to the first 6 issues. so I have NO IDEA where they are going with this Shane story-arc

and I can't believe all you would've killed poor Otis! further reinforcing my belief that during an apocalypse humans are the most dangerous threats out there. I would shack up with a trusted few fellow humans and that's it! you just can't trust anyone these days

if we lose all sense of morality then we are no better than the zombies, eh?

say what you will about the walkers - they never kill their own!

axl... dude...

hey there Comic Book Guy, please don't even think about posting any spoilers. :p ;)

i used to think you were cool, but in my head you now speak like this guy:

i know i said i wasn't gonna watch any more, but i reserve the right to change my mind. :D

I feel like I just spent an hour watching someone strapped to a conveyor belt, heading toward a guillotine, and after every commercial break, they somehow get transported further back.

Some suspense is good, but this show is getting ridiculous.

Episode 3 for an entire hour..

OMG, KID IS GONNA DIE

OMG, THEY GETTING CHASED BY ZOMBIES

OMG KID SI GONNA DIE

OMG ZOMBIES

KID

ZOMBIES

AHHHHHH

*SNORE*

Hard to kill what is not alive. ;)

zuh? I get your take on semantics, but even if something is undead, I think it's safe to say one "kills" an inanimate objects when one shoots said object in the head, when said objects is roaming around, desperate for a hit of "brains"

axl... dude...

i used to think you were cool, but in my head you now speak like this (Comic Book Guy)

darn! just when I thought my childhood obsession of comics had finally become at least semi-kewl (due to San Diego Comic-Con, and relentless movies/media being stolen from their source material, comics

also, I thought it was pretty much a fact that I have been and always was BL's resident Comic Book Geek. amazing you didn't catch on earlier, really

anyways, I will try with an unmatched fervor to gain my apparently lost-in-your-eyes style points ;)

the TV show needs to find that damn girl

and they need to introduce Michonne (they said they would this season)

This show is dragging big time now. Last episode had one fucking zombie. I am not against character development, but they aren't actually developing the characters at all. I like the guy with the bow, he's interesting. They need to get out into the real world a bit more, but I can't see that happening for the forseeable future now that they seem to be laying down roots. I feel absolutely no emotional connection to most of the characters, and Rick's wife is a total bitch as far as i'm concerned. I am getting more than a little bored of the blonde one walking around with tears in her eyes all the time too. Last season was so good, but I can't help but feel like since they got renewed and they know they are probably going to get another few seasons out of it at least they've slowed the plot down to a snails pace. In season one it was great, you could watch an episode and one of the main characters could die at any time but now I don't quite get that feeling.

I agree with most of you, this show is really dragging as of late. The first season was excellent, I watched all 6 episodes in one sitting. This season is just boring. I like the guy with the crossbow, and I like Rick and Shane but that's it. The old man with the trailer was cool, but he's starting to get stale. We need more action! I feel like nothing is happening. Boring, boring boring. Let's get some fucking zombies in there! It is a show about zombies, right?

it really was hard to watch that last episode. fuck me thats my sunday after work show

Nah guys things are just starting to build up again. Eventually someone in the group is going to get infected and that will make the old vet guy make a decision for everybody to get off his property. Then they have a pregnancy to worry about as well as finding Sophia. IMO this is just the calm before the storm and I personally dig it.

tonights episode was a nice improvement. cant wait till next weeks episode actually!

The first two episodes were pretty bad, but each episode since has been better than the one before it, IMO. You can see that the group is falling apart. Shane is losing his mind to the dark side. The Asian kid and the redneck are starting to get tired of being the guys ordered on crazy missions because they happen to be self-reliant, and the redneck is beginning to feel the need for revenge for his brothers death as well, shitty person that Merle was. The blonde chick is fucking up repeatedly. Everybody is falling further away from each other, and they are going to be in deep shit when this vet who acts like a damn cult-leader has a few of his camp transfer over to Rick's. At first the old man seemed like a good guy, but it is now apparent that he is on some kind of crazy power trip.

The concept behind this show isn't necessarily zombies as much as it is about people's ability to remain destructive to each other even though the whole world has turned to shit and it is necessary to pull together no matter what in order to survive. What the fuck was the farm bitch using condoms for? Get pregnant, rebuild the human race.
