^ do you use nerd jewellery to shop?

If by nerd jewelley you mean pearl necklaces, then no. I'm not allowed to offer those as payment anymore :( Males would seem especially offended for some reason...

No I mean those little wrist bracelet things so that you dont fry your little computer bits and peices

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZIIIIIIIIIINGG!... and everyone gets blown off the track!

Still having loads of fun with GTA4 here. I have to agree with m4dd0g though (even after recently investing in a high-spec pc) that PC Gaming isn't going to far these days. :( Still want to try out call of duty though.

Team Fortress 2 for the win!!!!
greatest game ever, with Conkers Bad Fur day on 64 a close second

I wrote a length email to my boss yesterday explaining why we need to buy a new software to help us merge and migrate SQL Server databases... at the end I added a "PS. Can I also have a PS3 with GTAIV"... he said no :(

Just bought The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion with the Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles expansion pack. Have had a few problems with it freezing but besides that it's excellent. Looking forward to ESV.

Hey Vanth, I'm trying to maximise my stats each time I'm about to level up to make it worthwhile. So I try and get +5 for my major skills before I let my character sleep and level up. So far so good and I'm really enjoying the missions. I think I have three running at the moment and one involves vampires. Awesome!

I really have to be careful witht his game, especially in the evenings. I'll grind through a dungeon thinking its about 11pm and then look at the clock and it'll be one or two in the morning :\

^ DONT LEVEL UP TOO MUCH!!!!!!

The final guards match your level. at that point you have some helpers, but their level is locked (cant remember what level). so if you have a high level the guards can kill your help with a couple of hits - really fucking sucks. once you;'ve done the main quest you are free go about the rest of the world and do quests, thats when you level up.

Unless you like stupdily hard bosses, that is :)

Also, you should only install the add ons after you finish the main quest, too distracting otherwise!

brilliant game tho. the vampire one sucks ass, wait until you get turned into one and slowly you cannot walk in the day. theres a way out of it but its so hard to do that i just ended up cheating and using a code to get the potion.

I just got a nyko perfect shot for the wii and ghost squad from EB games sale. (half price on some things!@!!_) got them both for less than the full price of the game. woohoo!

I'm only level 3 at the moment. I'll concentrate more on the main quest then and forget about the side quests till later.

It's such an awesome game though. Looking forward to the weekend :D

I want my next character I create to be a sneaky evil bastard :D So I can join the Thieves guild and the Dark brotherhood. I've heard the dark brotherhood quests are more fun then the main quest.

I got my mount in WoW! Woo. I really have no where else to share this triumph. Well I ran around in circles on it sqwarking when I got it... It's a bird. I'm going to go now...

the main quest is really just incedental. you do it because you have to.

the trick to oblivion, is to treat it as your life. i dont mean in a WoW way, but play the game as you would play life. it make smuch more sense then.

my hard disk died the other day, back to my back up save. which was like, when it first came out.

one word of warning - there is a quest for the fighters guild where you need to retrive a certain item. I retrieved this item before i did the quest (was venturing around the country side) and sold it - now i cannot progress in the fighters guild!!!! there might be a way around it but meh.

also, check out the mods. there's heaps, here's some:
http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=GlobalSearch#Oblivion Mods

theres one that creates a whole new world of magic, cant quite remember its name, but omg does it add some fucking cool magic abilities.

marklar thank you so much! I've been worried about adding mods but I HAVE to add that natural scenery one. Hope my graphics card can handle it (Geforce 7300... yeah I know.. It's my laptop you see...)

Sorry to bug you again mate, but whats your opinion on the thieves guild and dark brotherhood? I don't want to attempt to join them the first time round because I'm sure it will make the game harder to finish? Like I said though definitely want to try joining with my second character.

And Vanth that is awesome! Does it make you any stronger or anything in the game or it just to show that you're a WoW fanatic? :)

Heh, well yes it does show that, but also makes you 60% faster, which is a real advantage when travelling all the long distances that make up wow. The elite mount makes you 100% faster but that's a while off. Ooh, and I can use it to chase down other players and kill them, which again is awesome.

You guys make Elder Scrolls sound great, I've always been told that its ridiculously hard and unfinishable and the leveling system is horrifying. Hmm.

Alot of people say that if you mixed Morrowind and Oblivion together, it would be the ultimate RPG. I'm going to ask my brother to bring my copy of Morrowind over on the long weekend so I can reinstall it and play that as well.

I forgot how much I loved gaming. Especially RPG's and RTS games. I'm looking forward to starting a MMORPG when I'm more settled down and everything. I didn't really like Eve Online after awhile (sorry flinch!). Will probably end up getting Neverwinter Nights, WoW, or something like that.

mate, no need to be sorry. most of the time my posts go unanswered and I cry in the toilet because i just want to be accepted. thats why i do drugs, see ;)

The dark brother hood i am doing now (well, was doing until my hard disk died) and yeah its fun, but i dont really remember what was so fun about it. With the guilds i found that each has its advantages. I started with Mage then fighter, got stuck there and joined the theives. its nothing special, but you really do need the skillz it gives you if you want some cool loot.

the trick to leveling up is SLEEPING. You dont sleep, you dont level. you might have all the stats ready to level, but it wont happen. <--- hint hint ;)

Vanth - to me, oblivion is 1st person WoW without the dickheads or social parts. I hated WoW with a passion - just seemed soulless to me - oblivion seems like a world alive.

Age of conan. its JUST started, so its not like you're going up against people with mounts or sumthin' ;)

I loved reading the Conan series of books. Especially the ones written by Robert E Howard. The ones by Robert Jordan were pretty good as well though (RIP to both authors).

The cartoon series was pretty cool as well.

I saw Age of Conan in EB the other day and was tempted to buy it but I'm concerned that a game like that will cause me to go waaaay over my bandwidth limit (3gigs/month, dont ask...). Once I've sorted out a permanent ADSL connection I'll definitely be checking it out though, looks like a winner. I'm going to check out some reviews now in fact.

Man, you guys are to us, what Magic players are to kids actually using the school library to get books.

You're making us all look nerdy by association :)
