The ultimate gamer thread, aka 'Geek my Forum'

Pretty excited about the forthcoming Strong Bad game for Wii/PC. I'm loving the existence of Telltale Games. Mad props (What the fuck does props even mean? Where does it hail from?) to them for reviving Sam and Max and furthermore making it live up to expectations and not suck. Fuck Lucasarts, dogs.

Btw, if you want the non-censored version of GTA4 try http://www.365games.co.uk/index.php?productID=2765
It’s on special for £37.99 and they offer free shipping to Australia. Takes about 6 days

(UK systems are the same as ours so its all good)

Yeah your right. They only count people who leave their home at least twice in a 10 day period

No I think I'll be right, thanks. I like the fact I can upgrade my PC whenever I like and add new components etc. I do like consoles but my PC will always be my main gaming platform.

I also like modding my games and all that jazz.

if it comes out on pc i will buy it
because it pretty fucking awesome on xbox but im no good with the controls

i applaud the inclusion of taxis, hookers, and realistic law enforcement

I have been playing this older pc game (2004) called Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. Its pretty fun. There's swearing and hot psycho vampire chicks. Oh and there are hookers in it too.

^^^ I love that game. Really cool storyline and lots of side quests and things like that. Never finished it but I might reinstall it and give it another shot.

Any new and exciting games on NDS out yet? Or soon to be released?

get "The world ends with you". Best game on the DS in a long time.

its a fighting game where you control a guy (on the bottom screen) and a girl (on thge top screen) at the same time. Powerups are based on the clothes that you wear and their "coolness" which changes from district to district. plus its got an awesome jap-pop soundtrack (shhh dont tell anyone i said i like music other than psytrance) ah fuck i just got one of them stuck in my head jheheh

Pokemon Dungeon is OK if you like rouge like dungeon crawlers... i dont usually like pokemon tho...

if you have not played the phoenix wright series, i highly recomend (its an adventure game set in a court room that is way better than it sounds)

I picked up "no more heroes" on the wii the other night, best game i've played in ages, soooooo much fun.

Xbox and hookers on dad's credit card

A 13-year-old boy from Texas who stole his father's credit card and hired two prostitutes has been convicted of fraud.

Newark teenager Ralph Hardy confessed to ordering an extra credit card from his dad's existing credit card company and taking his pals on a US$30,000 spending spree, which culminated in them playing "Halo" on an Xbox with the hookers in a Texas motel.

The $1000-a-night prostitutes were released without charge but Ralph was given a three year community order upon his conviction on May 9, money.co.uk reported.

The prostitutes told police they grew suspicious when the kids said they'd rather play Xbox than play with them.

Authorities were alerted to the motel by a delivery clerk who, after delivering supplies of Dr Pepper, Oreos and Fritos, was asked by the kids where they could hire some escorts.

They young lotharios explained they'd just won big at a "World of Warcraft" tournament and wanted to relax.

The delivery clerk called the police who arrived to find $3,000 in cash, electronic gadgets, an Xbox console and games, plus the two prostitutes.

Ralph reportedly told the oficers his dad wouldn't mind, because he'd turned 13 the previous week and he'd forgot to get him a present.

Ralph and Co. told the working girls they were people of restricted growth working with a traveling circus.

They added that State law did not allow discrimination against the disabled so they had no right to refuse them.

Explaining why he ordered two escorts, Ralph said he thought it was the done thing when you win a "World of Warcraft" contest.

The prostitutes ended up playing "Halo" with the kids instead of having sex with them.

Haha when credit card fraud is funny

Love this part though

Ralph and Co. told the working girls they were people of restricted growth working with a traveling circus.

If you take out WoW (10M * (12*10 + 100)) pc gaming drops to around .7B
All the rest are screaming 14yo FPS fanboys

Hee hee, and you get to have the awesome privilege of spending $1000's a year upgrading your PC because?
... you cant even play any of the 3 good games that will come out

User content is wicked but is no longer the sole domain of the PC. Cant wait for Little Big Planet

I understand where you're coming from.

But this is my hobby :) I enjoy buying new components, rebuilding my PC, benchmarking, overclocking etc etc. And the cost really isn't an issue for me...

If you can't afford to upgrade your PC and dont have the inclination to do stuff like that, probably a good idea to stick with consoles.
