went halvies with the gf, plus it's chipped
eventually there will be some decent games (mario galaxy, manhunt 2 and no more heroes)
but for now, my attention is all of the ps3 and 360

That's because the company has basically released shit all information about the game, so I guess they needed to fill with all sorts of irrelevant crap.

Really? I thought wii sports was one of the most addictive games released in the last 12 months. The next metroid game looks promising if you're into that shit.

I still havnt bought any next gen consoles. Im waiting for a price drop and a decent slew of high production value games first. Im thinking late 2008 will be when next gen is in its prime :\
 
It's hardly just a glorified tech demo you godamned snob. I've spent many hours having fun on it. Maybe try buying a game that isn't shit.
 
see, i'd be a snob if i just bought a ps3/360 and gave the wii a wide berth
instead, i took a chance
and it's shite

zelda = excellent......which also runs on 2001 hardware
resident evil 4 = outstanding....for a 3 year old game
wii play = brilliant for the .... 2 days worth of gameplay
paper mario = shite
red steel = shite

Man I understand your criticisms, I was pretty disappointed when they announced the specs for it.

Still I've got a lot of use out of mine, the controller system is pretty amazing and there are some cool games (I enjoyed Godfather immensely).

I'm not ruling out a 360 (I am a PS3 though, I've always felt the Playstations were shit, bad controllers, terrible loading times) in the future, but at the current price, whilst I can afford it, I just don't want to pay that much for a console. I only ever end up buying around 10 or so games in the run of a console so it makes it even less appealing to spend that much on one.
 
If i purchased a wii it would be for the sole purpose of having friends over to drunkenly wave their arms about

Im pretty sure thats what Miyamotos intention was
 
Yeah I think your enjoyment factor may be limited by the fact that you don't drink preacha.

There's nothing more smile worthy than waking up hungover with an aching jaw, trying to remember if you were in a fight the night before, but then recalling that your housemate clocked you trying to play baseball in Wii Sports.

An armed gang used an online dating service to kidnap one of the world's top multiplayer computer gamers, according to Brazilian media reports.

The kidnappers are accused of abducting the Sao Paulo man, an expert in Korean-designed game GunBound, so they could extract the password to his gaming account.

They intended to sell the password — and all of the gamer's hard-won experience points — for $9000, Brazilian news website Folha Online said.

But the plucky nerd refused to hand over his details, despite having a gun pointed at his head. After five hours, the gang let him go.

One of the gang member's girlfriends allegedly contacted the gamer through Google's social networking site, Orkut, asking him out on a date at a shopping mall.

When the gamer arrived at the mall, he was met by a gun-toting gang member instead.
