The Travel Thread - Second Destination

I don't rate World Traveller Plus. I don't reckon it's worth the extra cash from economy. Virgin's Prem Econ is better.

Or to be really on the safe side....a nice flat bed. :p
haha :D

we got a free upgrade to WTP, thanks to the fucking uselessness of Angola in general and South African Airways specifically. but we were ever so pleased to have missed our flight! i have no idea what the cost difference would be, but i doubt if i would have paid it anyway.

a flat bed??? my word, does such a thing even exist on aeroplanes??? 8o;)

one of these days...

Yep, flat beds on lots of airlines now, or almost flat. Almost flat is just as good. Best I've had were Cathay on a brand new 777 and Qatar in First Class.

We got upgraded to WTP on a flight back from NY a couple of years ago.

I had a fully flat bed when I travelled club class - well a seat that went flat out, was fuckin ace! Oh so comfy and so much room. Nice sized TV as well, tons of leg room, screens to put up so I didn't even have to look at anyone else, nice duvet and pillow, lovely 3 course meal chosen from a menu on proper plates and with cutlery, champagne reception as well as a complimentary bottle of champagne thrown in for good measure, quality wee toiletry bag full of decent goodies, bar and snack bar to use if wanted. Fucking bliss! :)

I wouldn't be surprised if you have actually packed those two horrible items of clothing eDDe. :D

I imagine an economy seat feels like a la-z-boy to a midget like you. ;)

And nothing wrong with taking a pith hat with you when visiting the colonies, old chum, nothing wrong with it at all. The weather can be quite ghastly, old bean.

Nah economy class is torture regardless of size, even for a short arse like me there's no room. :\

Even if your legs don't hit the ground whilst seated? :p

There are certain routes that are often nearly empty, so you can bag 4 economy seats to yourself. I can get a full nights sleep when that happens.

I had 3 seats to myself flying from Sydney to Cairns, flight was only a couple hours so didn't get much sleeping done. I can't sleep on flights anyway, even when I had a bed in club class I was restless and woke loads.

For me, relevant paperwork concerning my addiction and the cause for it, along with a sufficient supply of opiates/opioids. Other than that, GPS Satellite Phone and at least 2 good books.

On travel class, it depends on the conveyance. In my country of residence (Philippines) the most common from is an inter-island ferry. Ferries are sea-going and hold roughly 2000 passengers and often all kinds of freight and live stock. I usually book "Tourist Class" which gives you one bunk in a bunk bed on an open deck (with roof). Rarely I will book a shared cabiin if we have a large party, and they sleep 8 in 4 bunkbeds and soemtimes even have a telly with CCTV movies, etc.

In terms of air travel, always the cheapest berth. I often get bubmped up to business Class because I fly so much, etc. Domestically, when forced to fly, I take the wretched Cebu-Pacific, almost as bad as Soviet-era Aeroflot! Internationally I try and take either Cathay-Pacific or China Air. Both have great food, with China being the better in that regard. However, Cathay has much better diverson with in seat DVD players and great menus, even video games.

This year they are supposed to get in flight internet with a 7 US surcharge or thereabouts. Great for long hauls back into the US which take 17 hours more or less, actual time (as opposed to claendar time which usually tops out at 29 hours).

For drinkers, Cathay gives as much wine and champagne as you want in Economy.

can get my hands on 20 blue diazepams, do you think itd be risky bringing them to brazil

i defo dont wana go to jail there but i am not sure if they would be MAD strict on asking for a prescription for them or what hmmmmmmmmm

i dunno if i'd risk taking them but i'm a bit of a puss when it comes to customs (bad experience with accidental cocaine and polish customs haha)

I'd personally not risk it, you get caught your probably fucked. All for the sake of being sedated on a flight. :\

Do tell us more Evad? How much coke did you get caught with and how did you get away with it?

Why do you want to take them to Brazil? You're going to be spending your whole time racking up top notch gak...you won't have time for the blue pills!!:)

That only works for so long, till you run out of coke, money or your nose falls aparts.

People don't actually still do drugs without benzos to hand do they? :D

Mugs game. ;)

I think i've taken a benzo once in my life, many years ago. But i'm not even sure if it was a benzo.

Never mind Kids shite story Evad we want to hear YOUR story about getting caught at Polish cutsoms with Coke....

From what I recall it is OTC in Brasil but I would check for updated info since that was 9 years ago. Also check all other Benzos while you are at it because you could always use an equigesic table to get the equivalent from a Benzo that IS OTC.

Running through Customs is always a risk. I have been in and out of Thailand countless times and then one day, WHAM. I do not mule anything anymore except legally prescribed meds (meaning through countries that even execute for the same meds) and still take a huge risk soemtimes. Illicitly held substances are not fun at all.

THEORETICALLY You COULD type out a letter purpotedly from a medical provider and set up soemone to man a phone in case of interdiuction. That way, if caught, Customs decides to call the phone mate can act like the provider and vouche for the valid Script.

Of course i am not suggesting illegal behavior.
