The Travel Thread - I am lovely and respectful to all in my path PLUR <3 xxxxx

I really want to do an over land train trip from Europe to South East Asia via Russian and China. That would be fucking epic.
 
But you won't, cos that's real travelling. You'll stick to the tourist trail.

If you carry on in those countries the way you've carried on everywhere else you won't last two minutes. I really think you should go.

And the man who pisses on a buddhist street shrine in Thailand has the front to criticise the way british girls behave on the streets of the uk.
 
LOL listen to indiana jones here, who rattled your cage? Where have you been that's so 'real'? I've been to half the countries I'd be travelling through already anyway you muppet.

I didn't piss on the shrine on purpose, I was trying to piss on the tree next to it but was drunk and missed. It's tradition in Thai Buddhism for everything be cleansed once a year, I was washing away the bad vibes from the shrine that's all. ;)
 
I love it, I come back to BL once every six months and we're still giving Spade shit about his travelling, while he's still acting like he wrote the guidebook (not the fucking Lonely Planet shite, the secret elite guidebook that only the best travellers get) :)

Haven't done much myself recently other than city festival in Barcelona with a few days in Madrid before, got pickpocketed but had a great time otherwise. Saving money hard and going to do a nice long trip in about a year though :)

Lots of people here have "travelled", I've lived and worked in other countries, had lots of holidays, lots of transits through countries, but don't feel the need to fucking bang on about it like I'm more special than people who've visited fewer places than me.
 
I've been to the Sahara Desert. Did you know that although there is obviously no water it's impossible to starve to death because of all the sand which is there?
