Anything similar to this, just newer? Please help I can never find anything on here!!!

Similar to this thread you mean?

What's wrong with this one? Seems nice, didn't know it existed.

Hi guys! Anyone else with an amphetamine prescription rarely take them but still collect them from the pharmacy every month out of habit?

I've got enough dex and elvanse to last me 2 years at this point it's absurd.

That reminds me, it's the end of the month time to order more speed.

Hey, that's like me! Only I'm collecting a ginormous stash of allergy spray and heartburn meds.

ahhha a dex script, the stuff of dreams (and one I really should have but....reasons!)

have had 2 x 10mg methylphendiate today and have done 4 hours admin-type shite that would take me 12 hours otherwise - result

I was on methylphenidate for years it doesn't have as much fun value as dex but if you're purely after functional stimulation it's just as good and probably less likely to keep you up at night too.

Had pretty mixed results with the extended release formulations though. They say all the generics are the same but they definitely aren't.

Just found a visual representation of how Ethyl-Hexedrone felt like to me, drawn about 9 years ago, lol:

Looks spiky. I did something a bit like that years and years ago after eating some fly agaraics. Used pastels I think, no pictures unfortunately.

Has anyone with a stim prescription learned to drive with em before or have any basis for comparison driving on them Vs off them? Been doing without them for the last 6 months but started taking driving lessons a couple of months ago and if there's ever a time I feel like I should be taking stimulants it's when I'm driving a car because gawd I just can not multitask and I'm having a mini meltdown every time I have to change a gear and steer at the same time.

Personally would wait and build those co-ordination neural pathways naturally, am pretty sure the gear thing will becoem as easy as putting on an old pair of slippers with practice and experience

Also, if we develp a belief that we can only drive on stims, then you're gonna be needing stims to drive at any given point

Having said that, I have severs adhd and find driving no problem at all. Whenever I have driven after a stim I think it affects my driving negatively. And that's only on a light dose. ymmv ofc

Also pretty sure you must handle multitasking at work no? Gotta do that in your field

I'm pretty sure you don't get your truly Deluxe First Class Driver's License until you have driven a manual transmission on curvy mountain roads tripping on acid. I'm very pleased to say that I graduated alive. It takes quite a bit of multitasking, for sure.

This is pretty much what I've been thinking which is why I haven't taken them so far.

Yeah a big part of that is muscle memory already knowing where things are etc. Same as with driving I guess.

I shall persevere!

Driving lessons have been going okay, getting in to town driving next 😬 but sadly all other aspects of my life are in a state of administrative chaos, so I will reluctantly be going back on elvanse the day after tomorrow.

That looks like too many commas. Just wait until I'm back on speed my SPAG is going to be off the wall.

After two months on and one week off I am reminded why I stopped taking elvanse in the first place.

Elvanse fucking SUCKS!.

I get up in the mornings and am energised and productive and motivated and forward thinking and a moody stressed arsehole! It's a paradox that it makes me feel so much more capable of managing all the of essential life admin while making me feel more stressed than ever.

Anyway it's bad for my mental health and it's bad for everybody around me so fuck it. Maybe I can manage the occasional dexy when I've got something specific that needs doing but I can't stand being on amphetamines day in day out. Time to embrace the chaos.

I found XR to be even worse and had to switch to Dex IR 3x a day.
But yeah I hate getting nothing done off of medication and hate being extra stressed and antisocial all the time on it. It's an awful paradox.

I've never driven stick shift if that's what you mean by changing gears, but I had a psychiatrist tell me that people with ADHD were 5x as likely to get into a car accident unmedicated and my experience driving medicated vs unmedicated does seem to echo that.

I wonder how they're qualifying medicated and non-medidated. There's a huge difference between the rebound you get after skipping them for a day or two and never being on them in the first place.

That aside, I had a driving lesson last Thursday after being off elvanse for 7 days and I actually found it a lot easier. I think a lot of what I struggle with is split second decision making thing like "do I need to stop and give way here or can I keep going" and when I'm medicated I want to analyse those decisions whereas when I'm off the speed I feel like I can react more instinctively. Maybe that just means I'm more reckless but whatever it is I was a lot less stressed and as a result fucking up less.

Stick shift is what I mean by gears yes. Automatics aren't really a thing here just about everyone has to learn in a manual.
