The Stim Comedown Thread

Yeah, my "studies" too.

...Long hard nights staring into the mirror, twirlin' the magic learning stick.

The only thing that works for a stim comedown is sex and sleep.

It's amazing how much easier a comedown is when you know you have the next day off. Then again if you do, why would you have to stop your binge?

Yeah there comes a point where your body just will not stay awake any longer, ive pushed several binges into the 3 day mark, with work the next day, but after that your body really wants 24 hours total rest ime. I hear youve managed 5 days (and nights presumably) on the 3fpm Fubar, that is one way to avoid the comedown. If possible i just keep going until im naturaly tired, reagardless of what the clock says, then i will only need a miinmal amount of benzos to get to sleep.

Terrible HR but geeb always works a treat for me to alleviate a stim comedown.
Rest & Nutrition is always the key for complete recovery though.

That said I’ve been dabbling away at 4-eph every night for a week and finished my geeb yesterday.
Def feel that low mood today…body is overdue a long break from both.

Drugs are bad…mmmkkaaayy :sus:

Look at what Evey does n do the complete opposite. I'm showing what NOT to do lol.

To do my bit for harm reduction I would advise alcohol AS A LAST RESORT - avoid benzos if you can. Also Squid n I tend not to get along, I do admire n respect her decision to stay clear of benzos. Benzos can sometimes affect a person more than they actuallynrealise (eg diclazapam) n if you're doing stuff outside of your home n are not familiar with benzos it could be dangerous im that you could possibly fall over.

I've only used 3 so I would recommend listening to others first. My advice is 70% from experience n 30% an collaborstion of what Zi've read throughout Bluelight; past n presemt (somit's useful Lol).

To help with anxiety - breathing, hot/warm bath self-reaasurance, herbal remodies such as valarian roote, kalms (if on antidepressant medication please read the bottle / leaftlet of whatever, thorougjly before consumption. Things like St Johns Warbs are not meant to be comsumed if taking SSRI medication.

To aid sleep. Again warm bath. Do NOT make it a mission to force sleep. Think about this CAREFULLY. When you do things like this you are basically making yoir mind active----telling it to work - the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of what you want your mind to do. Your mind needs to be relaxed n it's not going to be relax when you're instructing it to "try to sleep."

Instead just lie down. Nothing else. Just that. Lie down as you would any time of the day. Say something like "timevfor a lie down n to relax." When you do this DO NOT fight any inner dialogue, visions or whatever come into your mind. Trying to force yourself to "switch off" is making your mind work n you'll never sleep.

In fact I bet hslf the time se people aint struggling to dleep because they're stimmed up but more so bevause they're fighting it. How do you normally behave on a normsl evening before sleep? I'm talking when there's no stims involved n when there's no worries. Would I be correct in thinking you lie downn relax? You don't think about sleep. You don't work your mind instructing it to force the sleep, trying to Keep it blank to try get sleep, count sheep n so you?

Our mind is so powerful n with commom sense itvwill aid you.

A hot bath as my heart is still racing after stimulants is the last thing I'd ever want to do. Crazy.

Down a big glass of water, clean bedsheets, 1mg Etizolam, done.

I took over the counter Valium in Thailand for the first time 10 years ago, and remembered very clearly how good it was.

Then about 3 years ago I discovered the dark web and started using it for comedowns (I love raving on MDMA)....and now I have a small habit even when not on stims and can't fucking stop! Beware people, it creeps up on you

Not liteeally a "hot" bath. I find that I cannot get in the complete warm I make it lukewarm slowly pouring in warmer water as I adjust to the temperature. It's not for everyone but it's a good sleep aid n of course one is going to apply common sense n make it lukewarm initially n gradually make it warmer. I felt I'd be patronising people if I explained how to have a bath when your temperature is yoyping.

Petulant arguments aside ;) Urby how's baby doing? Is she well? Is your girl coping well? These are precious times, ain't they?! :)

Yuck! Just the very thought of sitting in my own dirty, stationary water makes my flesh crawl.

Which is why, when I got my bathroom redone a few years back, I first adjusted the stem of the plug of the "P-shaped" bath so it would never close properly; then quietly threw it away. Next time, I'm having just a stand-up shower stall (with the option of a wall-hung, fold-down seat; after all, I will be fifty by then), building a stud partition wall and moving the washing machine to there. It will be safe because the electrics will be well out of reach of the shower, and more hygienic than carrying my dirty knickers and sweaty socks through the kitchen where I cook food, and it will also mean I will have room at last for a dishwasher .....
