I dont think so, its not stronger than a growing light so I dont see why it would affect it

after about 1h with the lamp the level had visibly lowered so I decided to add 2 more hallogen lights and 2 hours later the level is almost half of what it was! The smell is stronger in the room but not that much, the ventilation seems to work properly.

So I got sick and tired of waiting and since there was so little liquid remaining I decided to finish the job on the stove like that:
Note I purposefuly boiled some water so as to make the air and alcohol vapor very humid before it goes trough the fan, thinking it ,might lower the danger. I also used a thermometer to monitor the temperature of the mixture. It didnt go past150F on this setup.
All the time I used a metal spatula to scrape the thicker oil and keep it mixed in the mixture to prevent it from over drying
Finally after about half an hour I decided to let it cool down. Even at 100F the mixture was getting pretty thick. Will weight in an hour or two if consistency is perfect cant wait hehe

It's finished now. I think I heated it for too long and too and the oil got too thick. So I added about half a cup of alcohol to dilute it again and heat it but for less time and now I have a very potent and very smokable oil The yield was around 20g wich is far less than I expected.
I tried to take a close up picture but with the cell phone it doesnt give much result. The oil is golden when spread on a white paper but when you have alot of it its a shiny black. The oil doesnt have much smell if any. Burns very nicely producing a thick smoke. Taste isnt too bad either

Let it dry more man.Put it in a shelf or sumn.I didnt used any fans or something just leaved in a closed.And it will taste like an ass because of alchocol.U can even go blind if u used strong alchocol.Anyways just leave it to dry for about more days.The plate shouldnt stick to your fingers at all and when u scrape it should go really sandy and when u grind it it will turn into kief.And dont use joint papers for this.Its waste of hash and papers.Believe me i put on about 0,5g of some potent stuff and some tobacco.It tasted bad and i just got a little high.But today i ripped 0,5g from a bong and i got ripped.Watching at skype smile icons and laugh.

Interesting read. The guy did it with fresh leaves, seems weird to me. His product's appearance is close to mine. I'm not too familiar with Hexane

^ well as I said it did turn solid in the first place, I had to add a few ml of alcohol and reheat just to scrape the thing off the plate!

butane is easier to make and yields better quality and taste. not to mention it's easy to find and obtain.

I've heard you can further the extraction process by washing your honey oil with ethanol to create a purer form of oil, very very potent

not sure why you would want alcohol on your BHO,
IMO ehtanol or Alcohol/QWISO leave behind a certain taste that isnt left behind in properly purged BHO, i wouldnt do it.
i dont know much about what you are asking cuz i have never heard anything about it but i would suggest you check out tokecity.com for further Hash questions. very informative in regards to thier hash section of forums

That would be useless in my opinion. Honey oil extracted with butane is already pure enough.

Now i have smoked hash oil before and got really stoned. So i decided to make my own honey and it worked well and turned out exactly like honey should. But the other day i went to my budies apartment and he brought out hash oil that did't look like your average oil. It was stone hard and almost yellow/green in color. My oil turned out looking like syrup and keeping the same consistency as syrup. My buddies rock hard oil tasted better and got me higher then mine..does anyone have any suggestions on why his turned out like that?
