I do kind of see the point.

Things are much the same in Ireland. But it's very hard to label groups of people as a whole without stereotyping.

There are lots of decent hardworking Muslims and blacks living in dublin. There are also a lot of them scrounging off the state and some of these are causing problems in society on top of leeching of social welfare.

There are lots of Irish people leeching off the state as well. In some cases it is family tradition to draw the dole and not bother working.
Dublin has gone to the dogs recently. Recession has increased the already massive heroin problem. O Connell street is literally overrun with dealing and squabbling and users jut hanging around in general and making a nuisance of themselves. Begging on the street. Addicts and Roma gypsies - the aggressive beggars. I would never give money to them. I have given money to addicts.

In case I sound elitist I should state that I am on social welfare and had a heroin problem for 4 years,probably still an occassional user. There are many decent addicts just like there are many people on social who genuinely can't get work due to the economic climate. You can always spot a user, but the "good" ones buy their shit and go about their business. Anyone that knows dublin will surely agree with me about the state of the city centre.

Anyway, I run Swearing Therapy classes now. They're called "Fuck me, it works, I'm bastard cured."

£25 an hour. I promise fun. Which is more than you get from scientology.

Is that the average British idea people have more in common with? The 60's were great before those fucking liberals came along with their ethno-permissiveness. Started by the Chinese over 100 years ago obviously, but fuck it, we all like a good Chinese meal so leave them out of it.

Now and then, not my full time occupation though, respect for painters and decorators as stripping wallpaper is the most annoying/boring thing in the world. Stripping wallpaper off ceilings is the worst standing up a ladder doing a handjob motion above your head for 9 hours is a killer.

Yeah I have to agree about Dublin, I was walking past Abbey St last week and I heard two Garda [Cops] moving two lads on. One of them was coming out with some excuse and he was told well this is the way it will be from now on.

I had been in that area on my lunch most days last week and everyday the Garda seemed to be very focused on moving people on, it must be another show for the public. I certainly wouldn't be trying to score there, way too dodgy.

You always hear people complaining about addicts tapping up, but I never find it a problem or feel intimidated like some people state.
