Sopranos may be off until 2006 but HBO is replaying all the episodes on weeknights now! Just a heads up:)

Better to wait for quality episodes then churning them out and having them be terrible.

lmfao, you think people will lose interest in the Sopranos? Are you completely off your rocker?

Wrong, this gives enough time for HBO to book highest grossing ad-space to pay for Tony's Fat Salary Increase.

%)

I love the Sopranos. Christopher is my favorite character. I give so much credit to Michael Imperioli and his acting. I cannot wait until the 6th season.

I subscribe to the HBO.com Sopranos newsletter:

Chase Will Produce More Sopranos

Saying he was "obviously delighted," HBO chairman Chris Albrecht announced on Thursday that the network will produce eight bonus episodes for The Sopranos' upcoming sixth season. The new episodes, which are slated to debut in January 2007, will follow the previously announced 12 episodes, which begin in March 2006.

"When something is as remarkable as The Sopranos, our audience would like to see it continue as long as possible," Albrecht said. "So we're thrilled that David Chase felt that there are more stories to be told."

Brad Grey, executive producer of the series added that the show had "continued to grow and evolve" with every season. "We're all looking forward to spending more time with The Sopranos," he said.

And yes, whoever said that people will lose interest by 2006, you are full of shit. If anything people will anticipate it even more.

HAHAHHHH I just finished the first two seasons on DVD ........*bump*
Far behind but back here we dont even get the Sopranos on cable! BUMMER!
Fuck I just read this whole thread and I dont care if I perused the spoilers...I'm still going to be stoked when I get to have seasons 3-5 on DVD. =D

I'm SO excited as well! :D

We used to have a group of friends over every Sunday, and we'd have a potluck dinner with a theme each week before watching the show. We're already planning an Italian meal for the first episode. :D

^ when does that start again? hopefully not this sunday or neal and i won't be able to make it...but we'll be in florida so i'm not complaining ;)

^I believe it starts next Sunday the 12th. Brad is my co-planner (he is a great cook :)) so you can ask him if you run into him.

Have fun in Florida!

The new episode tonight was off the hook.

[SPOILERS]

Tony getting shot was fucking crazy! I knew it would happen when I saw Jr. go upstairs but dayum. Also, that poor sap hanging himself because he coulnd't take the pressure of being in the family/snitch at the same time was so sad. Especially since he had 2 daughters, a wife, a ton of cash and he honestly wanted out of the business. I like how Phil Leotardo has taken a more prominant role in the family, he was always high up on my list of 'bad ass motherfuckers' - just something about his style you KNOW he is a bad mofo.

no doubt gotta respect phil's gangster, im with you im glad to see him holdin it down while sacks is locked up, after this episode you know shit is gonna pop off, cant wait!

Good episode, although I could have done without the character montage at the beginning and would have preferred they just dove right in. This is the six season, everyone should know the characters by now. I was happy by the end of the episode, however, lots of exciting stuff. I'm looking forward to next weeks episode for sure.
